Carlos de Imus has joined the Seattle law firm Ogden Murphy Wallace as an associate and will focus his practice on business and municipal law. Eric Einhorn has joined as an associate and will focus on construction and insurance defense litigation. Einhorn previously worked as an independent contract attorney.
Weber Marketing Group, a Seattle-based marketing communications agency, has hired Steve Berberet as senior art director. Berberet will be developing creative concepts and graphic designs for both traditional and digital communications. Berberet was most recently art director at Walter Dorwin Teague Associates and owner of StudioBe.
The second annual artsEdge festival is now accepting applications from artists of all kinds: performers, visual artists, multi-media artists, musicians, spoken word artists and those beyond categorization. The festival will take place June 26 through June 28 at the Seattle Center. The application deadline has been extended to Feb. 28, 1998. Chris Dugan has been named sales manager, Petroleum Transportation for Crowley Marine Services. Dugan has relocated to Seattle from Long Beach, Calif., where he formerly served Crowley as manager of customer service for Southern California.
Craig Mason has been appointed principal of DLR/John Graham Associates. In addition to several primary schools, Mason recently responsible for Boeing 7-341 programming and tenant improvements in Bellevue. The firm has also appointed three new senior associates. Karen Montovino specializes in the planning and design of educational facilities. Rand Conger is a mechanical engineer, and most recently worked on the new Camas Police Facility and the Boeing 40-56 tenant improvements in Everett. Vern Wigen is serving as the firm's on-site representative for construction of an Ala Moana in Honolulu. New associates include marketer Jennifer Hotes, architect Kay Zovanyi, architect Stephen Bosette, and architectural designer Steve McKay.
Larry Kyle has transferred to HDR Engineering's Bellevue office to become the roadways program manager. He is returning after highway design and management assignments in HDR's Phoenix and Irvine, Calif. offices.
Crystal Coleman has been made an associate with ARC Architects. She is currently managing several remodeling projects at harborview Medical Center after the completion of the Keystone Coach House for Community Psychiatric Clinic. She has been with the firm since 1992. Aubrey Summers has joined ARC as a staff architect for the 43,000square-foot community facilities for the Seattle Housing Authority's Holly Park Redevelopment project.
Eugene L. Trahern has joined Coughlin Porter Lundeen as seismic program manager. He specializes i seismic loss estimation and the evaluation and mitigation of existing buildings and their contents. He is currently managing several facility analyses in Washington, Oregon and California.
Rick Amble has rejoined Coffman Engineer's Seattle office as an electrical designer. He is currently working on projects for AT&T Wireless and for the Yakima Herald. Kris Swanson has joined the staff as a structural designer, and has begun work on the design of two new Nordstrom Department Stores. Jerry Veatch has joined Coffman as a CAD drafter.
Arai/Jackson has added three assistant planners to the staff. Jory Phillips was previously a project planner with the City of Spokane. Pat Owliaeli, a landscape architect, comes from Urban Works and the Center for Urban Horticulture in Seattle. Rick Jerabek was previously a planning technician for the City of Lynnwood. Marisa Mangum has joined the firm as an interior designer.
Robert Bourdages will be a partner in charge of operations in the Kirkland office of Nelson Bourdages, which is now a division of Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. The office sill expand its civil and structural department to include public sector work. Steven R. Renck will lead the structural department of the firm. He specializes in high-rise ad parking structures, and recently completed the analysis and design of the Monaco Hotel in Seattle.
Littleton Dudley has joined KJM & Associates to lead business development for the firm in the Puget Sound region. Mark Abel has joined the firm as a senior estimator and scheduler. And Randy Barber, a civil engineer has been promoted to technical manager for the Bellevue office.
Mark L. Gregg has joined the environmental safety division of SJO Consulting Engineers, Inc. in Portland as fire protection specialist. He specializes in occupation safety in the chemical manufacturing, commercial nuclear power, and pulp and paper industries.
Michael Washburn has joined the electrical department of Riley Engineering, Inc., Spokane. He has more than 25 years of experience in low voltage power system design, equipment selection, process control and lighting design.
