Diane Butler has joined the law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky in the Seattle office as an associate and will concentrate her practice in the areas of business immigration and maritime law. Butler previously practiced in the Seattle law office of Bogle & Gates.
Valarie S. Zeeck has joined the Seattle and Tacoma-based law firm of Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell, Malanca, Peterson & Daheim to practice employment law. For six years Zeeck served as a judicial commissioner in the 16th Judicial Court of Missouri.
Veit Consulting Associates has entered into a new partnership. The firm's new name is SMG/Columbia Consulting Group, with offices in Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver, B.C. The firm offers management and technology consulting services.
Sunrise Assisted Living of Bellevue has appointed Marijane Jones, RN, to the post of wellness services coordinator. The community is scheduled to open in summer 1998.

Paul Belisle has been promoted to director of sales and Rob Long has been promoted to director of technology at The Holiday Group in Seattle. Belisle will oversee sales of timeshare units. Belisle formerly managed resorts in Mexico and Canada. Long will be responsible for the web site, http://www.holiday-timeshares.com. Long formerly worked at the University of Washington's Financial Management office.
The Summit at Snoqualmie has completed the administrative team which will guide the recreation area's operations and development. Malcolm McInnis is general manager. He was formerly president of Mission Ridge Ski Area in Wenatchee. Joanne Nelson is director of marketing and sales. Leslie Watkins is director of human resources and Carl Church is controller. Phil St. Pierre is director of operations and Dan Brewster is director of planning and development.
InterNAP Network Services, a Seattle-based high performance internet connectivity and routing technology company, has named Eugene Eidenberg chairman of the board. He is an advisory director at the San Francisco investment banking firm of Hambrecht & Quist.
Stephen Sutherland has been promoted to associate status at The Miller/Hull Partnership. Since joining the firm in 1994, his projects have included the Seattle Center Flag Pavilion and International Fountain redevelopment and the Washington Grocery Building historic renovation project in Bellingham. He is currently project manager for the Seattle Water Quality facility, the Washington State Public Health infant screening laboratory building and numerous laboratory projects at the University of Washington.
Eric Hasenburg has been promoted to the level of associate with BOORA Architects of Portland. Since joining the firm in 1992, Hasenburg has been involved in the design of NikeTowns in Seattle and Honolulu, Portland State University Housing and several elementary schools.
Mike Carney has joined INCA Engineers as senior structural engineer, and will assume responsibility for several of the company's projects involving water conveyance and navigation design. He has experience in finite element modeling of dams, gates and related equipment.
Scott Perry has been named an associate by Harris & Associates' Seattle office. Harris has been with the firm since 1989 managing public projects, including two recent $5 million interchanges.
Muhammadali Sami has joined Integrus Architecture's Seattle office as an architectural intern. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Maryland and is currently at work on Squalicum High School for the Bellingham School District.
Carmen Varljen has been promoted to senior projects manager of the interior division at Group West Associates, Inc. in Lynnwood.
