Westlake Center

Westlake Center has appointed Debra M. Ray marketing manager. Ray will be in charge of developing sales programs and promoting the downtown Seattle retail center through community relations and special events. Ray formerly served as marketing manager for Starbucks Coffee.

Cole & Weber

Cole & Weber has promoted Ron Klein to head the creative teams as executive creative director. Klein formerly served as senior vice president and co-creative director in charge of all Boeing assignments.

Sedgwick Noble Lowndes

Sedgwick Noble Lowndes has named MaryKay Knehr vice president. Knehr formerly worked for The Reppond Company Inc. Sedgwick Noble Lowndes is the employee benefit brokerage and consulting arm of Sedgwick Inc. in Washington state.

Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp.

Cindy Kirkham has been promoted to vice president and sales manager of Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp. Kirkham will be responsible for sales management of all tax-exempt and taxable bonds sold by the firm. Kirkham formerly worked in institutional sales for Benaroya Securities.

Western State Treasurers Association

Washington State Treasurer Michael Murphy has been elected president of the Western State Treasurers Association. The 1999 regional conference will be held in Seattle, expected to bring in revenues of $250,000 to the area.

Data I/O Corp.

Data I/O Corp., the Redmond-based firm specializing in programming technology for programmable integrated circuits, has added Jim Rounds as vice president of engineering. Rounds formerly served as a manager for Hewlett-Packard.

Svedala Industries

Svedala Industries, Inc., Spokane, has named the following employees to new positions: Bob Crowe, sales, Western Washington; Phil Wise, sales, Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho; Ty Akers, sales, Montana and North Idaho; Tom Gilligan, general manager; Kent Funk, parts manager; and James Newell, service manager. Svedala supplies crushing and screening products to the road building, mining and sand and gravel industries.

International Utility Suppliers Exposition

International Utility Suppliers Exposition will be held in Portland October 8-9. Manager of the event is Russell Dubbels, founder of the International Utility Suppliers Consortium and publisher of Utili-T-Works.
