PacMed Clinics

Polly Halpern, a registered nurse practitioner, recently joined the medical staff at the PacMed Queen Anne Family Medicine clinic. Karen McKinney and Lee Burnside joined the medical staff at PacMed Renton. Robert Chinnapongse is new on the medical staff at the PacMed Madison clinic.

CenterForce

CenterForce, a Lakewood-based nonprofit organization that provides training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities in King, Pierce, and Thurston counties, received a $50,000 region/district grant from the UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of the United Parcel Service. The grant will be used to expand employment services for people with disabiltiies.

Moss Adams

Moss Adams recently acquired a controlling interest in The Durst Group of Redmond. The Durst Group resells business application software to middle-market enterprises. The Durst Group was merged into EnTech Solutions, a subsidiary of Moss Adams. Doug Durst was named president of EnTech, and Rob Wallace, director of enterprise solutions, transferred to EnTech as a lead project manager. Kevin Amoth, a shareholder in The Durst Group, will direct the development and e-commerce division.

Larson Gross

Larson Gross, a Whatcom County-based public accounting firm, has added John S. Forbes as manager. Forbes formerly served as a manager of the audit and accounting department of a local firm and as an adjunct professor with City University.

Washington Family Business Awards

The Washington Family Business Awards were recently announced. The winners include: Terra Personnel Group of Everett for small family business; Absher Construction Co. of Puyallup and Seattle Mortgage Co. of Seattle for medium family businesses; Neil F. Lampson Inc. of Kennewick for large family business; Richmond Public Relations of Seattle for new family business; and Wilcox Farms for heritage family business.

Cole & Weber

The Easter Seals EDI Awards recently honored Seattle's Cole & Weber for a print advertisement designed for the Boeing Co. The EDI Awards recognize advertisers for their work in promoting equality, dignity and independence for people with disabilities by including and portraying people with disabilities in advertising.

Cushman & Wakefield

Cam Anderson, Chris Hughes, Brad Knowles and Jennifer Simpson have joined Cushman & Wakefield as associate brokers. Knowles specializes in industrial leasing and will work mostly in the Kent Valley. He was with Colliers Macaulay International. Hughes started with Cushman & Wakefield and worked for Norris, Beggs & Simpson before returning to focus on Eastside and Northend industrial high-tech buildings. Anderson started with CB Richard Ellis and will concentrate on the downtown Seattle office market. Simpson most recently worked for Northstream Development of Kirkland where she worked on the development and marketing of commercial projects.

Prudential Real Estate

Kathy Blain was Prudential's top earning sales associate in the state during the third quarter and Janine Duncan was second. Both work at the Admiral office in West Seattle.

Everett Mutual Bank

Linda J. Boettcher has been appointed commercial real estate lending officer by Everett Mutual. She will work in the downtown Everett branch and specialize in construction and term lending for commercial and multi-family properties as well as land acquisition and development.

Action Mortgage

John B. Richardson has been named president of Action Mortgage, a subsidiary of Sterling Savings. He has more than 25 years' experience in financial services and most recently was senior vice president COO/national loan production manager for WMC Mortgage Corp., formerly Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Co., in Woodland Hills, Calif.

Seattle Mortgage

Seattle Mortgage recently arranged $3.1 million in permanent financing for the Gig Harbor Corporate Center. Owned by EJH Investments LLC, the 34,295-square-foot office building houses various tenants including The Prudential and Merrill Lynch.

Taco Time

Taco Time Restaurants has bought the Kampai Restaurant Building, 200 106th Ave. N.E., in Bellevue for $1.6 million. Taco Time's current downtown location will be razed to make way for expansion of the Meydenbauer Center. Mark C. Anderson of Colliers represented Taco Time. The sellers, Foster and Collin Radford, represented themselves.
