Multiple Zones

Renton-based direct marketer Multiple Zones International has appointed Kathleen Pushor to its board of directors. She has over 10 years experience in the high-tech industry, most recently as executive vice president at MicroAge.

Color Service Group

Color Service Group, a Seattle-based visual communications company, recently promoted Michael K. Anderson to production manager. Anderson formerly served as manager of the color planning, electronic imaging, proofing and scanning departments.

Regence BlueShield

Loy Suderman has been promoted by Regence BlueShield to regional manager for network development and provider relations.

Space Needle

Dean F. Nelson has been appointed chief executive officer of the Space Needle Corp. Nelson will be responsible for all aspects of operation of the Space Needle as well as enhancing the image of the landmark. Nelson formerly served as president and general manager of the Hotel Del Coronado in California.

Piper Jaffray

Piper Jaffray recently elected officers in Seattle, including: Sandi Antush, Eric L. Brewe, James A. Greenfield, Adam Walters, John S. Ward and Steven K. Charlston, managing directors; Elizabeth L. Urner, Andrew J. Burton, Edward D. Haywood and Molly S. Martinez, assistant vice presidents; and A. Terry Douglas, John Ellingboe, Jon R. Garberg and Kurt J. Owen, vice presidents.

Livingston Boats

Livingston Boats in Arlington was recently reorganized and is currently owned by Scott Murphy. Kimberly Murphy is vice president and chief financial officer, Brian Zue will continue as vice president of sales and operations, Robert Branch will continue as plant manager, and Brian Taylor will continue as head of Viking operations.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo has promoted Bill Marshall to vice president in its private client services department. Marshall formerly served as assistant vice president.

Metawave Communications

Metawave Communications, a Redmond-based spectrum management solutions provider, recently promoted Robert Shuman to vice president of customer operations. Shuman formerly served as vice president of product management.

Calabria

Calabria, a Kirkland Mediterranean Italian restaurant, recently tripled its space and extended bar hours until 2 a.m. on weekends. Calabria is located at 132 Lake St. in Kirkland.

Mirai

Transportation expert Tom Noguchi has recently joined forces with transportation consultant Donald R. Samdahl and public involvement specialist Kay Kenyon to form a new transportation planning firm called Mirai Associates. Mirai is a Japanese word meaning "future." Noguchi is former deputy director for the city of Bellevue's Transportation Department. Samdahl, an engineer, most recently managed BRW's Seattle practice. His specialties include multi-modal projects and high-occupancy vehicle planning. Kenyon's specialties include public outreach, community involvement and transit/ridesharing programs.

Berger/ABAM

Stacy Scott has joined Berger/ABAM Engineers as a project coordinator. He has 11 years experience as a communications project manager for the U.S. Air Force. He is now providing support services for projects of the Port of Seattle, city of Tacoma and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Ping Ching has joined the firm as marketing coordinator. She has a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Washington, and she comes to Berger/ABAM from CivilTech Corp. Amanda Jankord has joined the firm as administrative clerk. She was recently with Barnes & Noble.

Kennedy/Jenks

Steven D. Misner has joined the Portland office of Kennedy/Jenks Consultants as a project geologist. He has 11 years of experience in hydrogeologic investigations, and has worked with well construction and landfill permitting. Daniel A. Wu, who previously worked for the firm between 1989 and 1994, has returned to Kennedy/Jenks as a senior engineer. He is a chemical engineer with over 13 years of experience in process, equipment and environmental engineering.

BOORA

BOORA Architects or Portland has named Kirk Conover, Eric Cugnart, John O'Toole and Julie Wallis as associate principals in the firm. Conover is the project architect for a $20 million, 98,000-square-foot expansion and renovation to Berkeley Central Library. He joined BOORA in 1993, coming from Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in New York. Cugnart, who also left Pei Cobb Freed to join BOORA in 1993, is on the design team for a 1,800-seat performance hall for the University of California, Davis. O'Toole is at work on the new $54.3 million Center for the Arts at the University of California, Davis. He joined the firm in 1988, and has designed a new 30,000-square-foot NikeTown in Miami. Wallis is the marketing manager at BOORA.

Triad

Greg Juneau and Clay Loomis have been promoted to the level of vice president at Triad Associates. Juneau has served as director of surveying for 12 years, managing projects for the Seattle World Trade Center and Gateway Tower. Loomis, who has been with the firm for seven years, leads a team of 21 as director of engineering. His projects include Beaver Crest and East Village.

FWL

James Bloomer and Raymond Yancey have purchased FWL Architects of Portland from David Fisher and Harold Young. Both Bloomer and Yancey specialize in the design of churches, and their portfolios include a wide range of protestant churches for communities in Oregon and Alaska. David Fisher will stay on as a consultant.

Interface

Eric Tuazon has joined the fire protection and life safety team of Interface Engineering. Previously with the Seattle Fire Department, he provides code consulting services as well as fire protection and fire alarm system design.

MDE

Dale C. Mann has joined MDE Forensic Laboratories, a division of MDE Engineers, Inc., as a principal responsible for analytical and forensic chemistry investigations. He worked for the Washington State Patrol Crime Laboratory for 17 years. He will analyze fire debris, paint and polymers, drugs and explosives residues.

Coastal Design

Architect Ben Black and Kay Black have formed Coastal Design Associates Inc., of Kenmore, which specializes in planning and expediting building projects for school districts as well as residential and commercial projects. Currently, the firm is planning the modernization of Sno-Isle Vocational Skills Center in Everett. Ben Black was building coordinator for the Mukilteo School District for over six years. Kay Black is the business manager of the firm.

Sider & Byers

Dana Johnson has joined Sider & Byers Associates as an intern. A mechanical engineering student at the University of Washington, Byers is assisting in the design of Sun Systems office park in Anacortes and McCormick Woods Convention Center in Port Orchard.

MacTec-Meier

Cliff Berkey and Anthony Cockbain have joined the civil/structural engineering group at MacTec-Meier Associates in Kennewick. Both are graduates of Brigham Young University. Michael Kufahl, a graduate of Washington State University, has joined the firm as a chemical engineer.
