Signature Media Services

Signature Media Services Inc., a Tacoma-based integrated communications firm, recently appointed Edie Jeffers director of corporate communications and client public relations. Jeffers formerly worked at Martin Public Relations in Richmond, Virginia.

Incite

Incite, a Tacoma-based life education and personal development company, recently named Eric Boles director of training and development and Allen Jones account executive. Boles formerly served as a motivational speaker for organizations and universities. Jones formerly served as a salesman at Toyota of Puyallup.

Pacific Studio

Pacific Studio, a Seattle-based design and fabrication studio, recently hired Desiree Stein as national sales manager. Stein formerly served as executive director of sales and marketing with ETS, a Seattle-based installation and dismantle company.

Edmonds Community College

Larry P. Johnson has been named director of development and executive director of the foundation at Edmonds Community College. Johnson was previously director of development for the Lutheran Bible Institute of Seattle and for Lutheran Social Services of Washington and served as executive director of the Luther Child Center Foundation in Everett. Sharron Sellers was recently appointed director of communications and marketing, Cami Smith was recently appointed associate director of community relations and Beth Nichols was recently appointed associate director of grants and research

Owen Media Inc.

Owen Media Inc., a Seattle-based high-technology public relations agency, recently hired Susannah Hooper as account coordinator. Hooper comes to Owen Media from Boeing where she was a procurement administrator.

Seattle Fringe Theatre Festival

Convention & Visitors Bureau

Marc Pujalet has been named senior vice president of marketing for the Seattle-King County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Pujalet formerly served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Westin Hotels and Resorts. Jerri Lane was recently hired as convention sales manager and Susan Hutton is the new corporate sales manager. Lane formerly worked at Doubletree Hotels and Hutton formerly served as corporate sales manager for the Doubletree Guest Suites at Southcenter.

Charter Bank

Charter Bank has named Keith Jackson chairman of the board and promoted Terry A. Peterson to executive vice president. Charter Bank is a Bellevue-based bank for family-owned businesses and partnerships, their owners and employees. Jackson and Peterson partnered with senior vice president and chief financial officer Richard C. Darrow to raise start-up capital for Charter Bank in 1997.

Tully's Coffee

Tully's Coffee recently opened two new stores, in Eastlake and the Expediters Northwest Building in downtown Seattle. Tully's is the second largest specialty coffee retailer in the Seattle area.

Shelbi Pakar has been appointed account executive at Signature Media Services, a Tacoma-based communication solutions firm. Pakar formerly served as leasing director for the William Lyon Property Management Co.

Parametrix

John McIntyre was recently named chief technology officer at Parametrix. He will oversee computer and technology systems company-wide. McIntyre has been with Parametrix since 1987 when he was hired as civil/municipal group manager. He has been a member of the company's executive committee since 1991, and became Sumner office manager in 1992. Gerry Jones was hired to manage the company's Sumner and Bremerton offices, responsible for operations and marketing in both offices. He also joins the company's executive committee. Jones previously served as senior vice president at KCM. John Kalvelage and Michelle Eccleston have joined the Portland office of Parametrix. Kalvelage is a senior transportation engineer specializing in bridge design. He is currently working on a Kelso access study. Eccleston, an environmental scientist, specializes in wetlands and wildlife assessments. She is currently preparing a wetland evaluation report for a large road project in Washington County.
