Bellevue's Fluke Capital Management recently committed $50 million dollars of its own funds to its venture capital business unit, recently renamed Fluke Venture Partners. Dennis P. Weston was recently promoted to managing director of Fluke Venture Partners.
The King County Park System is accepting volunteers to serve as Senior Park Ambassadors. Senior citizens would volunteer for activities from May to September including park and wildlife research, park stewardship, public outreach and youth involvement. King County Park System is recruiting people 50 and older for the program, but would consider residents who are younger. Harbor Resorts, Seattle-based owner of Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho, recently promoted Tom Fortune to general manager of the resort. Fortune previously served as director of operations for the Harbor-owned Stevens Ski Pass in Skykomish.
PhotoDisc, the Seattle-based, royalty-free stock photography brand of Getty Images Inc. recently added Toni Marinovich as vice president of marketing. Marinovich formerly served as national sales manager at Apple Computer.

Leslie Dolezal received the Chiropractor of the Year award; Leslie Whitereceived the Outstanding Service award; Joyce Middendorf was recognized for her tenure as 1998 president; and Marc Van Driessche, Kurt Fuhrmeister, Mark van Hemert and Thomas Wellbrook received Distinguished Service awards.

Steve Henderson has joined the Broderick Group, an Eastside real estate brokerage firm, as a prinicpal. Henderson, who previously worked for Cushman & Wakefield, has nine years' industrial and high-tech facility leasing and sales experience and has been involved in some of the largest industrial projects on the Eastside. In addition to development-related transactions totaling more than 60 acres, he has completed deals for more than 750,000 square feet of build-to-suit facilities and related transactions.
Cameron Fletcher has joined the Tacoma office of Colliers International as a commercial real estate agent. He specializes in multi-family and investment sales.
Opus Northwest has announced the promotion of John Solberg to president. Solberg is currently based in Seattle and serves as vice president of real estate development of Opus Northwest. He will move to Opus headquaters in Minneapolis. "John has quickly become a valued member of Opus' senior management team and we look forward to his expanded contribution in this new role," said Opus Corp. President and CEO Mark Rauenhorst.
Comps.com, a national commercial real estate information service headquartered in San Diego, has acquired the assets of Real Estate Transaction Journal, a Portland monthly. The Journal's real estate sales transaction information will now be provided through Comps' Internet website and CompsLink software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. It was Comps' third acquisition in the last five months. The Journal, which covers Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties in Oregon and Clark County, Wash., was sold to Comps by Palmer, Groth & Pietka, a full-service real estate appraisal company in Portland.
