Continental Savings Bank

James R. Faulstich was recently elected to Continental Savings Bank's board of directors. Faulstich retired this year after 20 years as president and CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle.

Communications Product Development

Scott Spangenberg was recently named chief financial officer of Communications Product Development, a Vancouver, Wash.-based manufacturer and marketer of a high-volume call processing platform. Spangenberg formerly served as corporate controller of Cascade Corp.

Deloitte & Touche

Jonathon Copley recently joined the Seattle offices of Deloitte & Touche as a partner and managing director of the Pacific Northwest Management Solutions and Services Group. Copley formerly served as partner-in-charge of Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting Division.

Pagliacci Pizza

Pagliacci Pizza recently opened its third Eastside delivery kitchen, at the intersection of Bel-Red Road and Northup Way in Bellevue. Jeff Woodruff will serve as general manager and Patrick Hurst will serve as assistant manager.

Sparling

Sparling, a Seattle-based electrical engineering and technology consulting firm, was recently honored with a chairman's award for exceptional participation in the 1998-99 United Way of King County campaign. Nearly 40 percent of employees contributed more than $24,000 to the campaign. Sparling matched the donations for a total gift of more than $48,000.

Northwest Food Processors Association

Tom Flaherty, vice president of sales and marketing and a partner with Boardman Foods Inc., was recently installed as chairman of Northwest Food Processors Association. Other new officers include Randy Hageman, chairman-elect; Mark Harris, vice chairman; David A. Pahl, president, secretary, treasurer; and Dave Klick, executive vice president.

Visio Corp. announced that Bob McDowell, vice president, Enterprise Business Relationships at Microsoft, was elected to Visio's board of directors.

Pacific Aerospace

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. of Wenatchee announced that Robert M. Stemmler, president, chairman and CEO of IMPCO Technologies, Inc., has accepted a position on the board of directors of PA&E.

HDR

James C. Peterson has been named an associate at HDR. He has been with the company for 17 years and specializes in water, wastewater and irrigation projects.

Sclater

Scott Kunnanz has been promoted to associate at Sclater Partners Architects. Before joining the firm, he worked as a CAD manager for Davis Opfer Raab Architecture in Yakima. He is a registered architect in Washington and Oregon.

Harding Lawson

Mansoor Absan has joined Harding Lawson Associates to head the structural engineering group, and will be based in the firm's Bellevue office. Absan has 15 years of experience with the Illinois Department of Transportation and with engineering firms, and has worked on heavy and light rail projects.

Otak

Bob Schottman has joined Otak's Kirkland office as a civil engineer, specializing in water resources and water quality issues. He holds a Ph.D. in agricultural engineering from Cornell University and has 15 years of experience in the engineering industry. Adnan Haddad as joined Otak's Kirkland office and engineer-in-training. He was previously a project designer with Land Development Consultants in Hillsboro, Ore.

GeoEngineers

Celeste Estes has been promoted to business manager in the Portland office of GeoEngineers. She has been an administrator with the firm for three years. In addition to administrative support and staff supervision, she will monitor project budgets.

Perteet

Ross S. Heller, recently senior engineering for the city of Tukwila, has joined Perteet Engineering as senior project manager. Heller, who now works in the firm's South Puget Sound regional office in Lakewood, has also served as engineering technician for the city of Des Moines and chief engineer for the John Henry Mine in Black Diamond.

Chalker

Doug Goodwin has joined Chalker Putnam Collins & Scott as an associate and project manager. He has been with the firm for over six years, and his current projects include Shadow Lake Elementary addition and renovation, Russell Landing at American Lake, and Good Samaritan Orchard Hill Respite Center.

TransSystems

David Talcott has joined the Bellevue office of TransSystems Corporation Consultants as a senior engineer for highway, roads and bridges. He has 18 years of transportation engineering experience in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Massachusetts and New Mexico.

BOE

Venita Van Hamme Brown has joined BOE Architects in Tacoma as a senior architect. She has over 20 years of experience in commercial and public sector architecture and will be managing design of the new Pheonix Inn in Olympia and a spa/great room project at Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop. Wilene McIntyre has joined the firm as administration manager, with experience as an office manager and Realtor.
