Commerce Loan Co.

Commerce Loan Co., a division of the San Diego-based Bank of Commerce, has named James M. Halbert to the position of business development officer in Seattle. He will provide Small Business Administration guaranteed loans to a wide variety of small businesses in the state.

TCI Media

TCI Media Services/Puget Sound has hired Leta Beck and JayDee Jepsen as account executives for TV Mart, the company's real estate and auto advertising channel. Beck is based in Tacoma and will handle real estate and auto advertising sales in Pierce County. Jepsen is responsible for those sales in King and Snohomish counties.

Hamilton/Saunderson

Hamilton/Saunderson, a Seattle-based marketing and communications firm, has added a new employee. Jamie Groshong is an account manager whose clients include Mulvanny Architects and Factoria Mall.

Primus

Seattle-based Primus announced that Norman S. Guadagno has been hired as vice president of marketing. He will be in charge of corporate marketing and brand strategy worldwide. He was formerly with e-commerce startup firms MyGeek.com and Pentawave. Primus provides Web-based problem resolution software for customer support.

Country Companies

Chris Cichanski of Everett and Leonard Smit of Lynnwood have been named agents for the Country Companies Insurance Group based in Bloomington, Ill. They have completed the new agents school. Cichanski will be based in Everett and Smit will be located in Lynden.

Phoenix Savings

Brad Williamson has joined Phoenix Savings Bank as senior vice president of savings operations. He was formerly manager of bank examinations for the state Division of Banks. Phoenix has offices in Lynnwood, Seattle, Bellevue and Everett.

Preston Gates

Preston Gates & Ellis announced five new attorneys. Robert Dzielak is a new associate in litigation. John R. Knapp Jr. and Ben Orndorff are new associates in business. Maja Chaffe is a new associate involved in business and real estate and Anthony Miles is a new associate, first year.

Essential Foods

Essential Foods, the Seattle-based maker of Essential Sandwiches, announced it will supply Essential Burritos to the airline industry to serve passenger for inflight meals. Continental and Alaska airlines are currently serving the sandwiches to customers who request vegetarian, low-fat, low-sodium and/or dairy-free meals.

Swedish Medical Center

Swedish Medical Center and the Seattle-based National Center for Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation signed an agreement naming Swedish as the exclusive provider of medical services for visiting dignitaries and delegates to the center's events in Seattle. NCAPEC holds a variety of conferences in Seattle each year.

Graham & Dunn

Graham & Dunn announced that David Byers has joined the firm as an associate and member of the Litigation Service Group. He was formerly with a Washington D.C. law firm. Michael Lapin is a new associate and member of the Corporate Services Group.

Humane Society

The Humane Society for Seattle/King County has elected new officers. Jerome Roache is president. Bob Bigelow is vice president. Deborah Martin is secretary and Barbara Miller is treasurer. The Bellevue-based organization also hired Ingrid Ougland Sellie as public relations and marketing manager.
