Lou Zonta has joined Ledcor Industries as manager of business development for the Seattle Office Building Division. Zonta has 18 years of experience in marketing and sales in related industries. His responsibilities include developing and implementing Ledcor's marketing strategy.
Mechanical contractor Hermanson Corp. of Kent has formed a new partnership to transfer the business operations of the company. The partnership includes owner and CEO Gerald D. Hermanson and a group of key management employees. The partnership will be led by Richard Hermanson and Kevin Almon. Gerald Hermanson will continue to play an active role in the business.
Michael Mason is the new Marvin window and door specialist at Gray Lumber Co. in Tacoma. Mason worked for many years at Marvin Window Co., a high-line architectural wood window producer. His new duties focus on custom, residential and commercial projects.
Tacoma-based Bob Pearson Construction has been selected as an "Authorized Builder" for American Buildings Co., one of the largest makers of metal building systems in the world. Pearson will represent American Buildings throughout Pierce County and the surrounding area. Pearson specializes in commercial and industrial design-build and select-bid projects.
NVST.com, a Bellevue-based Internet hub for the private equity industry, announced the appointment of Deanna Loy Schuler and Larry Spokoiny to lead the company's national sales and marketing efforts. Schuler joins NVST.com as director of marketing. Previously, Schuler served as vice president of sales and marketing for Internet Legal Publishers. Spokoiny will serve as director of sales. He brings more than 10 years of experience in strategic marketing and sales operations to his new position.
Pierce Transit's 1999 budget has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. This is the 12th consecutive year Pierce Transit has earned the award, which is considered the highest recognition given for governmental budgeting.
Continental Savings Bank in Seattle has hired Maria Geokezas as marketing manager. Geokezas most recently served as the marketing manager for Harley Davidson Financial Services. She will provide management and guidance from the home office in downtown Seattle.
Systems Interface, a Bothell-based engineering corporation, announced the addition of Kenneth Schiebel as project engineer. Schiebel was employed as an engineer by Matrix Technologies in Ohio prior to joining Systems Interface. He will be involved in the design, test and programming of industrial cooling systems.

Cindy Dunbar has been promoted to account supervisor. Miah Sullivan was promoted to media planner and Rachele Pavach was promoted to assistant media planner.
ELF, a Mercer Island-based legal services company, promoted Nancy Ffitch from director of product management to vice president and has hired Anne Wilbur as manager of business development. Ffitch joined ELF in 1997 as the lead designer for the Law Firm Edition service and had previously worked for Bullivant Houser Bailey law firm for 13 years. Wilbur joins ELF after 11 years in the high-tech industry, of which the last seven were spent at Lotus Development Corp
