Spirit of Washington

The Spirit of Washington Dinner Train has named Marni Ness sales director for its Renton-based Dinner Train operations and Spirit of Washington Catering. Ness previously served as catering coordinator for Kaspar's Restaurant in Seattle.

Leisure Care

Deanne Yano was appointed as marketing director for Leisure Care, a Bellevue-based assisted-living company. Yano comes to Leisure Care with a long history in marketing management, most recently directing the Richard E. Jacobs Group's marketing efforts for Southcenter Mall in Seattle.

Northwestern Trust

Northwestern Trust, a Seattle-based wealth management company, announced that Elaine P. Adams has been promoted to senior fiduciary officer. Adams has more than 10 years of experience working with high net worth clients.

Miller Nash

Miller Nash, a law firm with offices in Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, has added two attorneys to its Seattle office. Donald K. Franklin joined the firm as a partner. Franklin's practice emphasizes general business law and business transactional work. Franklin merged his own office with Miller Nash in 1999. Richard D. Multer joined the firm as of counsel in the intellectual property department. Multer has more than 38 years of experience as a patent, trademark and copyright lawyer.

Riddell Williams

Michael J. Robinson has joined the Seattle-based law firm of Riddell Williams as an associate in its litigation and environment practice groups. Robinson brings more than eight years of litigation experience to the firm, most recently serving as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice.

Northwest Hospital

Northwest Hospital in Seattle announced the addition of Joan E. Olson, MD, to the hospital staff as an internal medicine physician. Before joining Northwest Hospital, Olson practiced at the General Internal Medicine Clinic at the Virginia Medical Center. She is the recipient of the 1993 American Medical Women's Association Recognition Award.

Sazerac

Chef Kevin Davis has been hired as executive chef for the Seattle restaurant, Sazerac. Davis has served in various chef positions all over the world including the south of France, Australia and the Napa Valley. Davis joins Chef Jan Birnbaum, who oversees the restaurant's menu.

Publicis

Publicis, a communications company with offices in Seattle, announced 12 new hires and five promotions in its Seattle office. Laura Reichlin, Julie L. Helleson, Kelly N. Curtin and Marissa Pittam were hired as account coordinators. Alison Renzi and Phil Smith were hired as broadcast coordinators. Erin McCoy and Eric Vogler were hired as traffic coordinators. Rachel Morgan and Laura Nutter were hired as assistant media planners. Scott Fero was hired as art director and Adam Oliver was hired as producer. Lisa Allison, Natham Busse and Jason Strong were promoted to broadcast negotiators. Brianna Wardstrom and Damon Janssen were promoted to media managers.

Red Lion Hotels

Red Lion Hotels, based in Vancouver, announced the selection of Tom Murray as its new chief operating officer. Murray has more that 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as president of franchise development for Red Lion's former parent company, Promus Hotel Corp.

Cucina! Cucina!

Cucina! Cucina!, a Bellevue-based restaurant group, has promoted Shelby Varden to director of recruiting. Varden joined the company as a server in 1990 and most recently held the position of general manager for Schwartz Brothers Catering.

Bader Martin Ross & Smith, a Seattle-based accounting and consulting firm, announced that Sharron J. O'Donnell has been promoted to manager in the accounting and auditing department. O'Donnell has 10 years of accounting experience and is currently vice president of the Seattle Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants
