ZAAZ.com

ZAAZ.com announced three new networking agreements with several clients: KCTS Television of Seattle, WellStreet International of Phoenix, and Activate.net of Seattle. ZAAZ, an Internet design and technology provider, was founded in 1999. It is privately held with 35 employees in offices near Pike Place Market. Producers Jodi Swanson, Jane Kim and Gary Jacobson will head teams assigned to the new projects.

Public Health

Public Health -- Seattle & King County has been selected by Evergreen Healthcare to receive a 1999 Community Services Award for having a profound impact on the health of the Eastside community. Public Health not only provides direct health services but also monitors community health and intervenes in emerging problems.

Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based law firm of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich announced it will open a law office in Seattle to service technology-based emerging growth companies. John M. Steel and Laura T. Puckett, formerly of the Seattle office of Riddell Williams, have joined Gray Cary to open the new office. The firm's chairman, Terry O'Malley, said Seattle is the obvious choice for an office because of the "heavy deal flow" between the Silicon Valley and Seattle. The firm has opened four new offices in the past 27 months. Steel was corporate finance group chair for Riddell Williams and Puckett has 18 years experience serving Northwest technology companies.

Rockey Co.

The Rockey Co. has promoted Steve Boyer to senior vice president in the Seattle office. He joined the firm in 1988, working in crisis communications, media relations, strategic positioning and public affairs.

Immunex

Mark D. Booth has joined Immunex Corp. as senior vice president and general manager for Enbrel, an arthritis treatment which is the company's flagship therapeutic product. Sales last year totaled $367 million. He will lead development and marketing groups. Booth was formerly with Abbott Laboratories

Tegris

Tegris Corp., a Bellevue-based provider of business Internet solutions, hosted applications and information technology solutions to the residential real estate industry announced that David L. Tandy has joined the company's executive management team as senior vice president of business development. Tandy most recently served as a senior executive for Stewart Title Guaranty Co., where he was responsible for the company's advanced real estate e-commerce initiatives and information services strategy.

Heller Ehrman

Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe announced that Christopher M. Cripps has taken the position as administrator of the Seattle-based law firm's Northwest offices. Cripps will manage the business activities for over 90 lawyers and 200 staff in the Seattle, Anchorage and Portland offices. Prior to joining Heller Ehrman, Cripps was managing director of the Soros Foundation in Moscow.

Lane Powell Spears Lubersky

John S. Devlin III has been elected partner in the Seattle office of the law firm Lane Powell Spears Lubersky. Devlin concentrates his practice in maritime, commercial and product liability litigation. Devlin is a member of the Washington Defense Trial Association, the American Bar Association and the Maritime Law Association.

Adolfson Associates

Catherine Conollyhas been promoted to wildlife program manager and David Wortman has been named the new planning program manager for Adolfson Associates, a Seattle-based company which provides environmental analyses under a variety of regulatory guidelines.

Conolly has 11 years experience in wetlands ecology, bird and mammal species/habitat analysis, biological assessments and project management. She also teaches at the University of Washington.

Wortman has nine years experience in natural resources analysis and management planning and will work with clients to comply with the Endangered Species Act. The firm is currently helping a number of jurisdictions in their response to the ESA. It has offices in Cle Elum and Portland.

Anchor Environmental

Steve Cappellino has joined Anchor Environmental as an environmental scientist, expanding the firm's capacity in sediment chemistry and toxicity expertise. His primary focus will be working with industrial site managers on sediment management and cleanup issues. He has spent nine years working in Puget Sound and on the Gulf Coast.

Anchor focuses its environmental sciences and engineering consulting work on aquatic-based remediation and waterfront development through all phases of planning and construction. Currently the firm has projects throughout North America, including the Gulf Coast, Great Lakes and Alaska.
