Troutlodge, a Sumner-based producer of salmonid eggs, has hired Sean Paul Fredsti as manager of its worldwide sales effort specializing in Rainbow, Steelhead trout and Atlantic salmon eggs. Fredsti has more than 18 years of experience in seafood sales and air logistics.

Union Gospel Mission

Gloria Ann Hall has joined Seattle's Union Gospel Mission as director of the mission's women and family shelter. Hall is overseeing major changes at the shelter including the development of a technology learning center. Prior to joining the mission, she worked at the Crisis Pregnancy Center and the Interfaith Hospitality Network Family Shelter, both in Everett.

KCTS/Seattle Public Television

KCTS/Seattle Public Television has hired award-winning producer David Rabinovitch as its new vice president for production. Rabinovitch brings nearly 30 years of experience in television production to his role at KCTS. He will oversee the development, funding, creation and marketing of productions at KCTS and at sister station KYVE/Yakima. He will manage the program production and marketing teams and will work with outside production companies on joint development of new productions for regional, national and international audiences.

Association of Washington Healthcare Plans

The Association of Washington Healthcare Plans has elected new officers to its board of directors. Mimi Haley, vice president of public affairs for PacifiCare of Washington, has been elected chair of the board. Pam MacEwan, vice president of public policy and governance for Group Health Cooperative, has been elected vice-chair. Janet Walthew, vice president of government programs for First Choice Plan, has been elected secretary-treasurer of the board. The association was formed in 1996 as an alliance of licensed HMOs and healthcare service contractors that provide healthcare coverage to nearly 3.8 million residents in Washington state.

City Electric is moving its accounting functions and personnel from Seattle to Anchorage. The move is scheduled to take place April 14, but the company is requesting all accounting-related inquiries be directed to the Anchorage office. A-America, an oak furniture manufacturer in Tukwila, announced several executive appointments. John Rittenoure has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. Rittenoure has been with the company since 1993 and will assume overall management responsibilities in his new position. Ray Huppe was appointed vice president, sales, with responsibility for sales nationwide. Jeff Smola was appointed vice president, merchandising. Brook Thomason was appointed vice president, retail operations. Patricia Gillis was named vice president, finance and administration and chief financial officer. Steve Miller was named director of warehouse operations.

Computer Books at Half Price

Computer Books at Half Price has opened a new store in the Roosevelt district of Seattle. The new location at 1032-B N.E. 65th Street will hold its Grand Opening April 15. Computer Books at Half Price is a bookstore chain headquartered in Bellingham also has a store in Bellevue at the Sternco Center.

Dain Rauscher

Dain Rauscher, an investment services company, promoted 11 investment officers in its Seattle office. Mark Bailey and Arthur Nunes were each promoted to senior vice president. Mary Ann Heeren, Samuel Maxwell, James Medved and William H. Ziehl Jr. were promoted to first vice presidents. Promoted to vice president were Brad Blind, William Bredice, Michael Geri and Carol Simpson. Brian Whitaker was promoted to associate vice president
