U.S. Bank has promoted five employees to positions of relationship manager in its business banking division. They will be responsible for managing the accounts of small to mid-size businesses in the Puget Sound region. Christopher Cleary has been with the bank since 1996 and will be serving the Seattle area. Andrea Jackson joined the bank in 1992. She will be serving Snohomish County. Kellie Monette-Chapman, with the bank since 1995, will manage business accounts in Tacoma. Ian Hamad, with U.S. Bank since 1994, will be serving Seattle area clients. Gary Pickering joined the bank in 1993 and will serve clients in the North Cascades area.
Erin Smith, formerly a prosecuting attorney in the criminal division of the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office, has joined the Bellevue law office of Davis Wright Tremaine. Smith will concentrate her practice in environmental litigation.
PredictPoint, a Seattle-based business-to-business application service provider focused on helping e-tailers create and measure online promotions, has appointed Kevin Wilmot as the company’s chief technology officer. Wilmot will lead a development and operations team, defining and implementing the product and technical vision, and researching emerging technologies. Wilmot spent eight years at Attachmate.
World2Market.com, a Seattle-based online e-tailer, announced a partnership with 1-800-Flowers.com. Shoppers at 1-800-Flowers.com are now able to purchase candles, soaps and jewelry from two different World2Market.com artisan groups -- one in Florida and one in Bali, Indonesia. World2Market.com presents handcrafted products from around the world, framed by the stories of the people who made them. All producers of World2Market.com products must meet standards regarding payment and labor, environmental sustainability and community and business development.
inFOREtech Wireless Technology, the Seattle-based developer of a GPS-based golf device, announced the expansion of its engineering team by adding Julius Farkas, Duncan Smith, Leona Neufeld and Don Boyd to its staff. Farkas will oversee quality assurance, strategic alliances and purchasing. Smith joins inFOREtech as a senior engineer with more than 20 years of system definition and development experience. Neufeld brings more than 17 years of experience in software development to her new role with the company. Boyd brings more than 12 years of experience in the development and deployment of real-time communications systems.

BOORA Architects of Portland has promoted several employees to associates in the firm.
Ric Battaglia is a California-registered architect with 11 years of experience in a broad range of project types. His portfolio includes NikeTown stores in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami and a performance hall at the University of California. He is working on a $9.2 million music building at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore.
Janet Bebb joined the firm last summer and is a project manager for Adidas Village in Portland and a new $65 million arts and entertainment center in Mesa, Ariz. Katy de Ville is the interior designer for the $50 million National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati; a library, theatre and communication arts building at Linfield College; and an education building for the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Michael Gregg creates multimedia presentations, project Web sites and architectural computer models and renderings.
GA Design, a Bellevue-based graphic design firm, has added two new employees.
Ann Hurley specializes in packaging, brand identity, advertising, point-of-purchase displays and Web site design.
David Bezoenik joins the firm as a Web developer.
Parametrix recently hired David Mills as survey division manager. He will be responsible for both project execution and business development in the Portland area. Mills spent the past 16 years with W.B. Wells & Associates where he held the position of director of surveying services and vice president.

Ogetsu Terao has joined the Seattle office of Peratrovich, Nottingham & Drage as a staff engineer. He is working on structural load rating of a U.S. Navy pier in Bremerton and on inspection of a bridge in Warrenton, Ore.

Barry Constant, a yacht captain, has joined Reid Middleton where he will be responsible for designing docks, floats, piers and other waterfront facilities. He comes to the firm from Kirkland-based Associated Earth Sciences Inc.

Emily Burns has been promoted to assistant management systems analyst in the city of Seattle's Facility Services Division, architecture and engineering section.
Lew Scholl has joined Stormwater Management of Portland as a project engineer. Prior to joining the firm, he was a floodplain manager for the Clark County Department of Community Development.

Suzanne Duley is experienced in transportation, civic, retail, mixed-use and commercial office projects. She also has an interest in furniture design. Duley is currently working on Sound Transit stations in the city of SeaTac and the NEAT station at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Tracey Margel is experienced in educational and health care facilities. She is currently working on several mixed-use residential projects.

The Seattle office of the brand communications company Think New Ideas has added Bram Wessel, Richard Kile and Melinda Partin to its staff. Wessel comes to the company from the Insight Group in New York and joins Think New Ideas as an executive interactive producer. Kile, an 18-year advertising veteran, joins as a creative director. Partin joins as director of interactive production and was a multimedia producer for Microsoft prior to joining Think New Ideas.
Henry Taylor was elected chairman of the First Heritage Bank board of directors. Taylor is a businessman with more than 28 years in the automotive industry. He owns a car dealership in Oregon, as well as Smokey Point Sales and Service in north Snohomish County. First Heritage Bank specializes in small business financing and construction lending and has branches in Snohomish, Monroe, Marysville, Arlington and Everett.
InterWest Bancorp, the Oak Harbor-based bank holding company for InterWest Bank, Pacific Northwest Bank and Bank of Tukwila, plans to combine its banking affiliates into a single commercial bank. As part of the consolidation, InterWest Bank has applied to convert from a Washington state savings bank to a Washington state commercial bank. The current board of directors of InterWest Bank will continue in that capacity for the consolidated bank.
PeakSoft Multinet, a Bellingham-based developer of Internet research and communication technology, announced that Tim Metz has been appointed president and CEO. Metz will also join the board of directors. He has served as the company's chief operating officer since January 1998.
Digital Harmony Technologies, a Seattle-based third-party licensor of FireWire technologies, has acquired Pavo Labs, a technology and product development firm specializing in professional audio products and musical instruments. Through the acquisition, Digital Harmonies will receive intellectual property and experience in product certification testing. It will also add several digital audio and wireless technologies to the company's existing patent portfolio.
Blaine-based Geographics will acquire most of the assets of the consumer products business of the communications papers division of Domtar. The deal largely consists of inventory, customer files and designs. The two companies have also agreed that Geographics will convert, distribute and sell products under the Domtar label to the retail market
