Sally Alhadeff has joined mechanical contractor McKinstry Co. as its vice president/director of operations for its Internet-based facility services group. Alhadeff will be responsible for the McKinstry's business-to-business Web-based property and facility management services. She has 20 years of experience in property operations and was previously with CarrAmerica Realty Corp. as vice president and director of operations.
APA -- The Engineered Wood Association has added three writers to its communications staff. Kevin Hayes has been hired as the advertising and publicity manager, Laura Adams Dudley as a senior writer in industry communications and Lindsay Fowler as a publications and Website writer. Hayes will be responsible for APA's trade publicity and advertising. He previously was the head of marketing at Premier Building Systems, a structural insulated panel manufacturer. Adams Dudley holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia and has nearly 20 years of news reporting, corporate communications, and public information experience. Fowler will have primary responsibility for developing the editorial content for the APA website and will also coordinate publication and audio-visual projects in the Publications department. She is a recent graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, and has a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.
ContractorHub.com, a business-to-business e-commerce exchange for the construction industry, appointed Randy Lieber as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Lieber just completed a 14-year tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and has been involved in accounting and corporate finance for over 20 years. For the past five years, he focused on software and Internet-related companies. Lieber's goal at ContractorHub.com is to put in place the financial systems and team to manage the company's growth. ContractorHub.com is headquartered in Kirkland with branch offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Atlanta.
Michael R. Poppoff of Poppoff Inc., a Yakima-based general contractor, has been elected to the board of directors at the American Society of Concrete Contractors. Poppoff has 31 years of construction experience, including 23 years as owner of Poppoff Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and serves on the council's Education & Training and Technical Review committees. The council is based in Farmington Hills, Mich.
Seattle-based public relations agencies The Fearey Group and Hawkins & Co. have merged. The new agency will operate as The Fearey Group at that firm's current office at 1809 Seventh Ave. Patricia Fearey will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer. Marilyn Hawkins will work in client consulting. Scott Selby will continue as vice president, along with Shelly F. Cohen, Hawkins & Co. vice president. The agencies will retain all original clients and employees.
The Seattle-based law firm of Graham & Dunn added two attorneys: Craig Wright and Shalini Gujavarty. Wright will work as a technology ventures and e-commerce partner. Before coming to Graham & Dunn, Wright was a member at Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, working in strategic business planning, finance and transactions. Gujavarty will work as an immigration law associate. Prior to this, she worked at the Immigration and Refugee Program of Catholic Social Services in Alaska.
Sam Johnson, general manager of the Salish Lodge & Spa, announced the appointment of Kenn Madsen as director of food and beverage for the Snoqualmie Falls resort. Madsen was born in Copenhagen, where he attended Denmark's Hotel and Restaurant School. He held food and beverage positions with The Pebble Beach Co., and was responsible for all food and beverage operations for the AT&T/Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Concours d'Elegance held at the Pebble Beach Lodge. Salish's dining room is one of only three restaurants in the area to receive the AAA Four Diamond Restaurant award.
The board of directors of the Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council will begin searching for a new executive director after the resignation of Warren Olson. Olson, who joined the council in 1998, plans to travel, pursue some personal goals and enjoy retirement. Olson will continue as the executive director until a replacement is named.
Donald E. Jarecki, former vice president of the Consumer Network Services Division of EDS, has joined CashPoint as vice president of Network Development. CashPoint is a Seattle-based provider of communications solutions to bring banks closer to their customers through ATM programs. Banks and third-party advertisers can communicate directly with targeted ATM customers through audiovisual messaging and actionable coupons.
GeoAgents.com of Olympia announced the appointment of John L. Haville as president and chief operating officer. Haville was managing director of business process outsourcing services for network-infrastructure provider Unisys Corp. He has more than 30 years experience in the travel industry, having served as president and chief executive officer of Sato Travel. GeoAgents.com provides travel retailers with technology and services to put their businesses on the Internet
