Hamilton McCulloh has been promoted to vice president fo public relations at Richmond Public Relations in Seattle. Previously, McCulloh was senior account manager. In 1999, he received a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Children's Series" and holds five additional Emmy nominations.
MarketFitz, an integrated marketing services company headquartered in Seattle, has named Ray Rasmussen to the position of chief operating officer, effective June 5. Rasmussen, most recently a senior manager with Deloitte Consulting in Seattle, has more than 20 years of experience in business management and systems analysis. His responsibilities will include enhancing the Internet infrastructure for the company.
Former deputy chief of staff to Seattle Mayor Norm Rice, George Griffin, has joined the Seattle-based public relations firm Gogerty Stark Marriott. Griffin served as deputy chief of staff for three years and most recently returned to Seattle after a two-year stint in Washington, D.C., where he worked on local and national housing issues.
Veber Partners, a Portland-based investment banking firm specializing in middle-market companies, has promoted Rodger Adams to senior partner and Chris Veber to partner. Adams specializes in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. Veber dedicates his expertise to the consumer branded/retail industry, primarily the food and beverage, sports and leisure and consumer services categories.
Seattle-based Getty Images has been chosen by the National Geographic Society to license and resell images from its catalog of photography. The National Geographic Image Collection will be accessible through Getty's Internet site, gettyone.com. Users will be able to view, download and license the society's images for reuse from that Web site. Gettyone's National Geographic collection will initially contain 2,000 images, with the number expected to grow to between 6,000 and 10,000.
Richard Waldinger has joined Pacific North Equipment as credit services manager for the Oregon region. Waldinger will be based out of the Portland branch of Pacific North. Waldingerbrings more than 15 years of commercial credit experience to the equipment distribution company.
Atlas Copco Wagner, a Portland-based manufacturer of underground mining equipment, has named Ross Tilson vice president of marketing and sales. Tilson will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of all the Wagner product lines throughout the world.
James Coles, president of Western Peterbilt in Seattle was named 2000 Truck Dealer of the Year. Coles became a Peterbilt dealer in 1973. Today, his operations include dealerships in Washington, California and Alaska, a lease and rental division, nine service locations, three body shops and insurance services
