Several promotions and one new hire have been made at PSF Mechanical of Seattle. The mechanical contractor has promoted engineers Tim Burns to technology director, Patrick Jung to engineering manager and Dan Cushman to lead engineer. Also, Terry Christian has joined the company as a lead engineer. Christian has over 25 years of experience in HVAC piping and fire protection design on a wide variety of project types. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho. Burns is responsible for technology research and development. He has been with the company since 1977 and has 25 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Jung is a graduate of the University of Washington and has been with the firm since 1998. Cushman has been with the firm since 1994. Recent projects include a Nordstrom's store in Boca Raton, Fla., Digipen Graphics in Redmond and various projects for Nintendo.
John Beer has been promoted to general manager of S.D. Deacon of Washington. He is taking over management of the Bellevue office from vice president Steve Galash, who is taking a more active role in marketing and estimating. Beer has 30 years of industry experience and has worked for Deacon for five years. He majored in civil engineering at Portland State University.
Publicis Dialog, the integrated communications division of Publicis that unites advertising with public relations, direct marketing, sales promotion, design and Internet marketing, has hired account coordinator Jennifer Romano in its public relations division in its Seattle office.
Gov. Gary Locke appointed Sanford Kinzer, a civil litigation and trial attorney in Everett, to the Board of Trustees of Everett Community College. Kinzer's private law practice has emphasized civil litigation and trials involving personal injury and commercial disputes, and representation of companies and individuals before government agencies.
Nettel Global Communication Corp., a Portland-based provider of telephony related products and services to enterprise, residential and wholesale communities, has opened a Ho Chi Minh City office in Vietnam. The Vietnam office will provide sales and marketing support for the company's products and services to the people and government of Vietnam. The Vietnam office will be managed by Hung Pham, vice president of operations in Vietnam.
Kyle Vixie has been named neighborhood marketing coordinator for the Metropolitan Improvement District (MID), an initiative enacted by Mayor Paul Schell to improve the Seattle metropolitan environment. Vixie's responsibilities include working with businesses and property owners to implement the MID's five-year strategic neighborhood marketing plans.
The Executive Conversation, an Issaquah-based professional services firm, has named Jill Qualteri chief operating officer. Qualteri will manage the company's operational issues, including organizational and personnel development.
ServiceStop, a Seattle-based provider of Web-based employee incentive programs, has launched its services in New York City, offering services to high-tech employers throughout lower Manhattan. The New York office is the company's third office, including the Seattle office and an office in San Francisco.
