The Associated General Contractors of Washington installed its officers and trustees for 2001 during last month's annual meeting in Seattle. The new officers include: Bill Alexander of Edifice Construction Co., president; Bob Adams of Guy F. Atkinson Construction, first vice president; Kurt Hildebrand of Lease Crutcher Lewis, second vice president; Gary Jones of S & W Utility Contractors, secretary; and Philo Hall of Lease Crutcher Lewis, treasurer. Also, four district vice presidents were elected. They include: Wilf Wainhouse of Sellen Construction Co. for the Seattle District; David Huber of Impero Contracting for the Northern District; Len Zarelli of Merit Company for the Southern District; and Mike Poppoff of Poppoff Inc. for the Central District. Elected as trustees were: Kevin Ash of Blue Sky Landscape Services, Chris Buchanan of Charter Construction, Jason Decker of Elcon Corp., Mike Ducey of W.G. Clark Construction, Brett Ferullo of Northwest Construction, Erik Golub of BBG Group, Peter Hammett of Parker Smith & Feek, Jim Karambelas of GLY Construction, Ed Kommers of University Mechanical Contractors, Bob Marconi of Stanislaw Ashbaugh, Ben Minnick of the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, Greg Tadie of Ceco Concrete Construction, William Taylor of Wilder Construction, John Tremper of Howard S. Wright Construction, John Battle of Keystone Management Services, Bill Phillips of the Washington State Department of Corrections, and Doug Wheeler of Zion Preparatory Academy.

Williams, Kastner & Gibbs has added Daniel Ferm and Jeff Wolf as of counsel and Diana Moller and Matt Wojcik as associates in its Seattle law office. Ferm's practice emphasizes state and federal appeals, briefing in complex commercial and products liability litigation, and employment litigation. Wolf concentrates his practice on product liability litigation and commercial litigation. Moller's practice emphasizes labor and employment law. Wojcik focuses his practice on the creation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property interests.
Timothy Gessner has joined Delta Computer Systems, a Vancouver-based motion controller manufacturer, as a software development engineer. Gessner has more than 11 years of software engineering and management experience that includes policy and procedure manual writing, management team creation and departmental supervisory duties.
Gerald Hatler, president and CEO of EvergreenBank, announced that its board of directors has approved the formation of a bank holding company. As a result of the corporate reorganization, the bank will become a wholly owned subsidiary of EvergreenBancorp. No changes will occur in the staff as a result of the reorganization.
The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Wasco County Historical Museum, located in The Dalles, Ore., recently appointed Kenneth Karsmizki as curator of history. Karsmizki comes from Bozeman, Mont., where he was curator of historical archaeology at the Museum of the Rockies.
Seattle-based Esurg Corp., an online provider of medical, surgical and pharmaceutical supplies and information for physician group practices, added Dr. William Portuese to its advisory board. Portuese spent the last 15 years specializing in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The Pierce County Airport (Thun Field) was named Airport of the Year by the Washington State Aviation Division. The award is the airports second during the past year. Thun Field was presented an Achievement Award from the Federal Aviation Administration's Northwest Mountain Region last May. The airport was cited for "enthusiasm and perseverance in improving the safety and capacity of general aviation facilities.
