Stoel Rives

Virginia M. Pedreira is a new principal in Stoel Rives' Seattle office. Pedreira joined the firm's real estate group in March 2000. Her practice focuses on real estate sales and acquisitions.

Columbia Hospitality

Columbia Hospitality has promoted several individuals to positions at Lauralhurst's Aljoya Conference Center. Bob Taylor, former director of operations for Columbia Hospitality, is general manager; Eva Bledsoe, former event manager for the World trade Center in Seattle, is sales manager; Edwin Samuel, previously with accounts receivable at the Bell Harbor Conference Center, is accounting manager; Heather Seig, former sales coordinator for Columbia Hospitality, is event planning manager; Barbara Rush, previous food and beverage manager and supervisor at Bell harbor is food and beverage manager; and Libby Neilson, formerly office manager at Bell Harbor, is group services coordinator.

Short Cressman & Burgess

Paul R. Willett has been elected a member at Short Cressman & Burgess. Willet is chair of the firm's estate planning, probate and trust administration group.

Tatum CFO Partners

Tatum CFO Partners added Bob Carroll, Robert Cranmer and Chuck Kill as partners in its Pacific Northwest practice. Tatum CFO Partners and its recently established Tatum CIO Partners provide experienced partners as permanent CFOs and CIOs for companies at all stages.

Washington Asparagus Commission

The Washington Asparagus Commission elected Kevin Bouchey as its new chairman for 2002-2003. He was previously chairman for the Washington State Potato Commission in addition to numerous committees for agriculture in the Pacific Northwest. Three other members were added to the commission's board of directors: Greg Barness is the fresh handler representative and Dave MacHugh and Art Key are grower representatives for the Columbia Basin District

North Pacific Group

Jay Ross has assumed the position of president and chief operating officer at North Pacific Group, a building products wholesale trade and distribution company headquartered in Portland. Ross has been with the firm for 2.5 years and has previous experience in paper products distribution, including stints with Crown Zellerbach and Unisource Worldwide. He is a graduate of the University of Portland.

IronSpire

IronSpire has hired Jeff Stiling as its vice president of sales. Working for both start-up and established companies, Stiling brings over 17 years of sales, marketing and information technology experience to the company. His background includes 11 years of solution selling with IBM and information technology management at Nike. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial engineering from Stanford University. IronSpire is a Tigard, Ore., supplier of Web-based collaboration systems for the construction industry.

Clark Nuber

David Katri and Tom Sulewski have been promoted to shareholders at Clark Nuber, a Bellevue-based accounting firm. Katri, the president and CEO of the firm, is also a member of the board of directors of Zetec, a material-testing company in Issaquah. Sulewski directs Clark Nuber's new outsourcing services division.

Davis Agency

Sharon James has been hired as marketing director at Davis Agency in Lake Oswego, Ore. James was most recently regional vice president of marketing for General Growth Properties, which owns shopping centers throughout the West. Davis Agency specializes in marketing to women. The company offers brand development, advertising, public relations and interactive media services.

Lane Powell Spears Lubersky

Lane Powell Spears Lubersky has moved to a new office in Olympia. The law firm will be located at the top floor of the Market Centre Building, across from a farmer's market. The firm says it has outgrown its prior office on the city's west side. Other offices are in Seattle, Portland, Ore., Anchorage and London.

QFC

Bellevue-based grocery chain Quality Food Company has agreed to sponsor the Bite of Seattle, an annual summertime food festival. Better known by the acronym QFC, the company is a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger, one of the largest grocers in the United States. The QFC Bite of Seattle will take place July 19-21.

TimberGrass

Michael Conneen has been hired as the national sales manager for TimberGrass, a Bainbridge Island-based bamboo flooring and panel manufacturer. Conneen has more than 25 years of sales experience. Most recently, he was in charge of sales for Lauzon Hardwoord Flooring's eastern region. TimberGrass operates distribution centers in Seattle and Cincinnati.
