TTM Technologies has acquired Honeywell’s Advanced Circuits operation. ACI is a manufacturer in the high technology end of the printed circuit board industry with 700 workers in Chippewa Falls, Wis. TTM Technologies, based in Redmond, is a supplier of time-critical, technologically advanced printed circuit boards. The total cost of the acquisition is approximately $2 million.
The Tribune Company of Chicago has acquired Portland's KWBP-TV. KPLR-TV of St. Louis was also acquired in the $275 million deal. Both stations are WB affiliates and bring Tribune's television station ownership to 26 stations.
The Waterfront Seafood Grill at Pier 70 will feature 14 international wines, food and a cooking demonstration at its International Food and Wine Fest on January 19. The Seafood Grill’s executive chef Steve Cain will prepare food and direct the cooking demonstration. Reservations can be made by calling (206) 956-9171.
Pacific Edge Software named Dale Fuller to its board of directors. Fuller is president and CEO of Borland Software Corporation. Pacific Edge is headquartered in Bellevue and is privately held. The company develops enterprise portfolio management software for global organizations.
The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties recently honored three of its members. Winning "Builder of the Year" was John Day of John Day Homes in North Bend. "Remodelor of the Year" went to Sherry Schwab of HCS Construction Services Co. in Bellevue. Shelli Lucus-Kennedy of McDonald Insurance Group in Kirkland took home "Associate of the Year" honors along with the Omar Brown Award. Lucus-Kennedy's efforts in recruiting 39 new members for the association earned her the Brown award. She has recruited 173 members since joining the organization in the mid-1990s.
Coos Bay, Ore.-based West Coast Contractors has named Bob Moberly general foreman. Moberly has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. As general foreman, he is responsible for the layout and supervision of construction projects.
The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington recently signed up its 400th member -- Thermatech Northwest. The local chapter in Bellevue represents open shop and union contractors, professional service firms and suppliers.
Nanci Wallace has joined KJM & Associates as senior contracts administrator in its Denver office. She is working on the Denver International Airport Westin Hotel project. She has over 13 years of field office management and construction project support experience. KJM is headquartered in Bellevue.
The deadline for the Civil Engineering Research Foundation's Charles Pankow Award for Innovation has been extended to Jan. 31. The award celebrates innovative collaboration in the design and construction industry.
