EvergreenBancorp

EvergreenBancorp has appointed Russel E. Olson to its board of directors. Prior to retirement, Olson was vice president of finance and treasurer of Puget Sound Power and Light Company and is a former board member of Pacific Northwest Bank and its predecessor, Interwest Bank. EvergreenBank is locally-owned with three offices in Seattle, Lynnwood and Bellevue. The bank will open a fourth branch in Federal Way at 1300 South 320th St. in September.

Pet's Choice

Polly Peterson has joined the Pet's Choice Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Lynnwood to serve as a veterinary specialist intern. Peterson recently completed a three-year residency at the Small Animal Clinic at Texas A&M. Her practice is centered on endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, immunology, infectious diseases, nephrology/urology and respiratory disease. Peterson will give care based on referrals from general practice veterinarians.

Ever Trust Management

Robert C. Kuehn has been named chief investment officer of EverTrust Asset Management in Seattle. Kuehn is a CFA and a member of the Association for Investment management and Resource and the Seattle Society of Security Analysts. He will oversee investment direction and manage client's portfolios as a relationship manager.

The Hotel Group

The Hotel Group has purchased the 224-room San Antonio Doubletree Club in San Antonio, Texas. A $3.2 million renovation is planned for the property. Judy Hatch, previously with Starwood, has been named general manager. The Hotel Group is an Edmond-based company specializing in investment, ownership and management of hotels with offices in Spokane, Scottsdale, Ariz. and Nashville. The company currently owns and manages 27 properties in 10 states including Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, and Washington.

Department of Revenue

The Seattle office of the Department of Revenue will hold a free workshop for new business outreach on Sept. 4 at the U.S. Small Business Administration Enterprise Center at 2100 6th Ave. in Seattle. The workshop is designed to help new and small businesses understand and report state taxes. The department's Web site is http://dor.wa.gov and the phone number is (206) 956-3002.

Zervas Group Architects

Sarah Allen has joined the staff at Zervas Group Architects. Allen is currently involved with the project teams for the Gateway Apartments, Central Lutheran Church, Firehouse Performing Arts Center and the Northern Light Building.

Zervas Group Architects, a 13-person architecture and interiors firm founded in Bellingham in 1961, specializes in public, commercial, multi-family and custom residential projects.

BRC Acoustics

Thom Mullins has joined the staff of BRC Acoustics as a senior consultant. Well known for audio-visual, multi-media and sound system design of such venues as Experience Music Project and Benaroya Hall, Mullins will continue to work in these disciplines at BRC and will also expand into the field of architectural acoustics.

Dennis Noson, senior consultant in architectural acoustics and mechanical noise control at BRC, was recently awarded his Ph.D. in acoustics from Kobe University in Japan, where he collaborated with Yoichi Ando, world-renowned authority on acoustical design of concert halls.

BRC Acoustics is a Seattle-based design firm specializing in architectural acoustics, mechanical noise control and vibration analysis.

Northwest Architectural Company

Northwest Architectural Company of Spokane has promoted Dana L. Harbaugh to the position of principal and Jeani Natwick to the position of senior associate.

Harbaugh joined NAC in 1994 and has served as an associate principal for the past 3 years. Harbaugh has played a lead role in many of NAC’s more prominent projects, including the Inland Northwest Blood Center, Central Valley and University high schools, Ellensburg High School and the Washington State Court of Appeals. He has worked on several of the firm’s award-winning projects, including Liberty Lake Elementary School, Rockwood Manor, and the Family Housing Office and Maintenance Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base.

Natwick joined NAC in 1993 and became an associate in 2000. She has served as director of interiors for the past five years, achieving certification in 1997. In addition to leading the firm’s interior design team on architectural projects, Natwick has provided interior design for numerous NAC school projects, including Mount Spokane High School, Mead High School, Lewis and Clark High School and Liberty Lake Elementary. She serves as space planner and interior designer for NAC’s major medical projects.

Rice Fergus Miller Architecture

Rice Fergus Miller Architecture and Planning has promoted six staff members.

Bob Miller-Rhees has been named a principal. He is the firm's senior project architect and leads many of the firm's public projects. Greg Belding has been named a senior associate. Belding was the firm's first employee in 1990 and manages health care, senior housing and custom residential projects.

Four architectural staff have been named associates: Ed McManamna and Jonathan Wood, project architects on many of the firm's fire station and emergency services projects; Howard Struve, senior documents production specialist; and Ron Easterday, project manager on institutional and community projects.

Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, planning and interior design firm located in Bremerton.
