Helac Corp. has appointed Marty L. Koval to director of sales. In this newly created position, Koval will oversee domestic and international sales. He has 30 years of executive sales, marketing and product management experience in construction, industrial, outdoor power equipment and agricultural industries. Based in Seattle, Helac Corp. manufactures hydraulic rotary actuators for OEMs and after-market attachments for the construction equipment industry.

LBX Company

LBX Company, maker of Link-Belt earthmoving, forestry and material handling equipment, has named Michael Davis vice president of marketing and sales. Davis will be responsible for all North American and international sales and marketing for the company's construction, forestry and material handling equipment. Previously, he was the director of marketing and sales.

Terex Utilities West

Anthem Group

Anthem Group named Ted Leonhardt, founder of the Leonhardt Group, global president. The Leonhardt Group, a brand design consulting agency, was acquired by Cordiant Communications in 2000. Following the acquisition, Leonhardt moved to Europe as chief creative officer/global of Fitch: Worldwide, Cordiant's brand design consulting agency. Anthem Group is a Chicago-based strategic brand and packaging design consulting agency that serves the food, beverage and consumer product markets.

Liberty Tax Service

Liberty Tax Service opened a new office at 8202 State Highway 104 in Kingston. The Virginia Beach, Va.-based company specializes in computerized tax preparation, electronic filing and refund anticipation loans.

Seattle Aquarium Society

The Seattle Aquarium Society, an organization that encourages child and adult engagement with the Seattle Aquarium, named Marsha Savery director of marketing, membership and guest services. Savery is the former vice president and marketing director for Nordstrom and has served on the society's board of directors for the past six years.

Parker Smith & Feek

Parker Smith & Feek, a Bellevue-based regional insurance brokerage, appointed five new shareholders. They are John Emery, client relations manager; Gary Grosenick, who provides risk management consulting and insurance brokerage services to hospitality, manufacturing and healthcare clients; Susan Stead, head of the real estate practice group; Dwight Jarvis, who provides insurance brokerage and risk management services to commercial clients; and Steve Wachter, account executive in the surety department. Jarvis and Wachter were recently promoted to vice president.

Longview Fibre

Longview Fibre Co., a manufacturer of paper packaging products, promoted William J. Gill to chief engineer. He replaces Robert B. Pollack, who was promoted to vice president - manufacturing services and assistant manager of the company's Longview pulp-paper mill. Gill joined the company as a design engineer in 1970.
