Emick Howard & Seibert added Nick Hines and Fred Lawson as job captains, and Tricia Donnel as an interior designer. Hines worked on 60 retail rollouts for Washington Mutual Bank. Lawson worked on the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma and U.S. consulates in China and Sri Lanka. Donnel's past interior design work includes projects at Piper Jaffrey and Cascade Natural Gas. The Seattle firm provides retail planning, architecture and interior design services.

Spokane firm Bernardo-Wills Architects promoted architect Matt Jacoby to associate. Jacoby, who joined in April 2004, is project architect on the Springfield Center Office Building in Spokane Valley. Intern Damian Cronkhite has eight years of drafting and design experience. Bernardo-Wills provides design and site/masterplanning services.
Washington Asset Management, a Seattle-based financial services firm, has opened a branch office in Montesano. Melvin A. McMillan will manage the office. McMillan was trained at the New York Institute of Finance and has more than 40 years of experience.
There is a vacancy on the city's Citizens' Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board. The 16-member board advises city officials on cable television access, community technology access and cable franchising renewal. People with backgrounds in technology and telecom are encouraged to apply. Members are unpaid and must reside in Seattle.
