Weber + Thompson promoted to associates Laura Greenamyer, Elizabeth E. Holland, Jay Pickering, Jeffery T. Reibman, Brian Steinburg and Nicole Winn. Greenamyer is a project manager in the interior design department. Holland directs operations and marketing. Pickering is a senior project manager on urban high-rise and multifamily projects. Riebman manages family and senior housing projects. Steinburg has designed and documented urban high-rise projects, and Winn focuses on sustainable high-rise design. Seattle-based Weber + Thompson specializes in architecture, interior design and planning.

The marine and civil transportation engineering firm Moffatt & Nichol added suppervisory engineers David O. Torseth, Chadd W. Novich, Basil Kattula and Frank Yanagimachi. Torseth manages port development projects. Novich and Yanagimachi oversee civil and transportation engineering projects. Kattula focuses on structural engineering. Paul Riemann is a senior civil/transportation engineer. Byron Haley is a staff engineer, Andrew Thomas a staff engineer in training and Dane Egusa an engineering intern.

Otak

Otak, a planning, architecture, design and engineering firm, added staff in its Kirkland and Tempe, Ariz., offices. In Kirkland, Otak added Aaron Jackson, Angela Smith, Aaron Pettis and Tyson Hounsel. Jackson does drafting, Smith works on public services and infrastructure, and Pettis designs bridges. Hounsel is an engineer in training. In Tempe, Otak added survey manager Arthur Sears, plot and grading plan expert Barbara Comstock and CAD technician David Garcia. Otak is a planning, architecture, design and engineering firm.

Group Mackenzie

Portland-based architecture, planning and engineering firm Group Mackenzie promoted to principal Susan Higbee, Richard Mitchell, Richard Spies, Robert Thompson and Thomas Wright. Associate principals are Matthew Butts, Mark Clemons, Tamio Fukuyama and Dennis Woods. Higbee and Mitchell joined in 1989. Higbee directs interior design. Mitchell is managing principal of the company's Seattle office. Spies is director of design. Thompson started at the company in 1983, and leads architects and interns. Wright directs planning. Butts directs civil and traffic engineering, Clemons manages the marketing department. Fukuyama directs architecture. Woods, who has been with the firm since 1977, designs business parks and industrial facilities. Group Mackenzie was founded in 1960 and has offices in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.

Associated Underwater Services

Spokane's Associated Underwater Services earlier this year opened a branch in Seattle. It is managed by David Cleary. The commercial diving and underwater services company recently finished underwater work for the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Servicemark

Servicemark has added Brooke Parker as billing coordinator. Parker is assisting with company operations, accounts payable, scheduling and marketing. Servicemark, which offers construction and maintenance services for commercial offices, is a subsidiary of Unimark Construction.

Unimark Construction Group

Seattle's Unimark Construction Group has added new team members, including: Mark Darnell and Greg Miasnik as senior project managers; Dale Fisher as superintendent; Lisa s project manager; and Alec Burkheimer as assistant project manager. Darnell is leading the firm's New Construction Division. Miasnik is responsible for business development, project management and supervision in the Tenant Improvement Division. Fisher is using his 30-plus years of industry experience in the New Construction Division. Landis, with 10 years of experience, and Burkheimer, with 5 years, are part of the Tenant Improvement Division.

ABC of Western Washington

Nick Cooper, president of Cooper Johnson Enterprises, has been elected 2005-06 chairman of the board of directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. Other officers include: Vic Peri, V.P. Peri Painting Co., chairman-elect; Karen Say, Saybr Contractors, vice chair of professional development; Grant Larsen, Express Construction Co., vice chairman of membership; Judy Jewell, Olympian Precast, vice chair of advocacy; Doug Ostergaard, North Star Electric, secretary/treasurer; and Jon Havelock, Med-Tox Northwest, immediate past chair. DBIA Northwest Chapter

Bill Ecker of Wade Perrow Construction and Court Olson of Olympic Associates have been named cochairs of the Design-Build Institute of America's Northwest Chapter Program and Education Committee.
