Elliott

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington hired Tom Elliott as its regional director for southwest Washington. Elliott is in charge of expanding the group's apprenticeship, craft and task training, and continuing-education classes throughout southwest and Eastern Washington. Elliott has experience in technical education admissions and marketing, and most recently was a supervisor with The Nautilus Group in Vancouver. CITC has training locations from Bellingham to Vancouver, as well as in Spokane.

Miller Nash

Miller Nash has hired Michelle Barton, Jeff Sagalewicz and Connie Tsai in the Portland office, and Candice Kim in the Seattle office. Barton and Sagalewicz are associates in the litigation department and will focus on commercial and business litigation. Tsai and Kim are in the business department and will focus on business and commercial finance. The firm also has an office in Vancouver.

G.A. Michael & Co.

Seattle-based G.A. Michael & Co., an accounting and business management firm specializing in the printing and manufacturing industries, has added a new division to focus on mergers and acquisitions. The Strategic Ownership Services Division, is a successor to Cobb, Michael & Co., a joint venture in which G.A. Michael & Co. was a major participant. Michael Cobb left the business in October to pursue other opportunities.

Baldwin Resource Group

Joan Godden has been hired as an account manager at Bellevue-based Baldwin Resource Group, a company that specializes in risk management, insurance and business consulting. She has worked in the commercial insurance industry since 1985.

Confluence Media

Confluence Media recently opened for business at 605 N. Main St. in Ellensburg. The audio, video and multimedia studio provides services for a variety of customers, including corporate and small business clients, educational and medical service providers, and performing arts groups. Owner Bruce Hemingway operated Audio Duplication Plus for 10 years in the Portland area before relocating to central Washington. Services include editing, production, recording and audio restoration.

Allen Trust Co.

Portland's Catlin Gabel School picked Allen Trust Co. to manage its charitable giving program. Gifts may include charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, appreciated property and bequests. Catlin Gabel School enrolls 700 students from preschool through 12th grade. Allen Trust is based in Portland.

Asado Restaurant

Former El Gaucho executive chef Sean Quinn and John Xitco have opened a new Argentine restaurant in Tacoma. Asado Restaurant is at 2810 Sixth Ave. Dishes will be influenced by Spanish and Italian cooking styles. For more information, call (253) 272-7770.

PMI

Pacific Market International has moved its corporate headquarters and launched a new identity. The company designs and manufactures food and beverage containers. Its new headquarters is at 2401 Elliott Ave. PMI is headquartered in Seattle, but also has offices in Shanghai, London and Melbourne, Australia.
