Preston Gates & Ellis announced Stephen Rose has joined the firm as a health care partner in its business law practice. Rose has defended health care providers against charges of health care fraud in Alaska, Washington and Minnesota. He was with Rose Health Law Group, which he founded in 2002.
Richmond Public Relations named Natalie Dent senior account manager and Susannah Peskin account manager. Dent and Peskin will manage all public relations activities for multiple accounts ranging from health care to consumer products to travel.

Modern Machinery has assigned Chip Doud as territory manager for south King County. Doud will be responsible for all activity south of Interstate 90 including the construction, aggregates, municipal, rental, forestry and utility markets. He will work out of the Modern Machinery location in Kent at 22431 83rd Ave. S. The company has also hired Jaremy Wray to represent eastern Idaho, which includes the Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Jackson Hole areas. Armondo's Cafe Italiano after 20 years is closing its doors at Third and Main in Renton, but opening down the street at Wells and Houser Way. The new location will seat 165 people.
McAdams Wright Ragen, a Pacific Northwest-based investment firm with offices in Seattle and Bellevue, will open a branch office in Portland. It will cater to high net-worth individuals.
The graphics design firm Visual Ventures is moving to 17605 80th Court N.E., Kenmore from Mill Creek. This will almost double the floor space and allow the firm to grow over the next several years.
Foster Pepper & Shefelman attorney Jack Cullen has been unanimously elected to the Interlaw Board of Directors. He will be the representative of North America for Interlaw, an international association of independent law firms.
