Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Mike Schlender has been named deputy director for operations at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland. He was the lab's director of facilities and operations. PNNL, a division of the U.S. Department of Energy, employs 4,200 staff and has an annual budget of more than $725 million.

Pacific Coast Banking School

Pacific Coast Banking School graduated 204 alumni this month, and this year's freshman class of 261 was the largest in a decade. The Seattle-based school is the nation's largest graduate school of banking.

Intermec

Intermec has named Lanny H. Michael senior vice president and chief financial officer. Michael was with Airborne Express/DHL for 23 years. Based in Everett, Intermec provides technologies that identify, track and manage supply chain assets.

Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging

Kelly Shaw has been promoted to manager of the Yakima corrugated container plant for Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging. He was at the company's Spanish Fork, Utah, container plant as general supervisor. The Yakima plant has 160 employees and makes boxes for Washington, Oregon and parts of Canada.

Wenatchee Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Wenatchee Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Laurel Potter as group sales manager. She was state vice president of Future Business Leaders of America.

IsoRay

IsoRay, a medical isotope company, has promoted controller Jonathan Hunt to chief financial officer. Based in Richland, IsoRay manufactures and distributes Cesium-131, used in the treatment of prostate cancer.

EvergreenBancorp

EvergreenBancorp has hired Gordon Browning as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Browning was CFO for Northwest Business Bank. EvergreenBancorp is the Seattle-based holding company for Evergreen Bank, which has six community banks in the Seattle area.

Manakoa Services

Manakoa Service of Kennewick named John Barnett director of business development. He has 20 years experience in sales and business development in the security technology field. Manakoa develops DNA-marking and optical security technology for high-value products at risk of counterfeiting.
