HuntMountain Resources

HuntMountain Resources has appointed Randal Hardy as president and Ronald Schutz as chief financial officer. Hardy joined HuntMountain in 2005 and was president and CEO of Sunshine Minting in Idaho before that. Schutz has 25 years' experience in finance, marketing and risk management. The Spokane-based mining company acquires, explores and develops precious and base metals from Quebec to Argentina.

Betts, Patterson & Mines

Trial attorney and law lecturer Michael L. Olver has joined Betts, Patterson & Mines as a director. The Seattle-based law firm has also hired Christopher C. Lee, a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, as an associate.

Mirabilis Medica

Mirabilis Medica, a medical device company in Seattle, has named Mike Connolly its president and chief executive officer. Connolly was with venture capital firm vSpring Capital in New Mexico. Mirabilis is using ultrasound to develop non-invasive treatments for conditions that have traditionally required invasive surgery.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has added sales associate Lina Shim to its Queen Anne office. Shim is new to real estate. Delene Monetta and her husband, Bob, who own the Windermere offices in Twisp and Mazama, have opened an office in Omak.

City of Renton

Suzanne Dale Estey has been appointed the City of Renton's economic development director. She was vice president of government and industry relations for Washington Mutual.

Pura Vida Cafe

Students in Bellevue Community College's International Business Exploration Club have opened the Pura Vida Cafe in the college's “N” Building at 3000 Landerholm Circle S.E. in Bellevue. The cafe sells drinks made solely with Pura Vida Coffee, a Seattle-based brand of organic, fair trade coffee.

Washington State Housing Finance Commission

Washington State Housing Finance Commission chair Karen Miller has been elected president of the National Council of State Housing Boards. WSHFC executive director Kim Herman has been elected president of the National Council of State Housing Agencies. WSHFC provides below-market financing for affordable housing and nonprofit facilities.

NAIOP Young Professionals Group

The NAIOP Young Professionals Group will meet Oct. 12 from 4:45 to 7 p.m. for Oktoberfest at Feierabend, a German pub at 422 Yale Ave. N. in the Cascade neighborhood. HomeStreet Capital

HomeStreet Capital has provided $8.2 million in bridge financing to GRE Lakes LLC to renovate The Lakes at Fife Apartments, a 136-unit complex in Fife. Financing was arranged by Tom Meunier. The property was built in 1976 and purchased in July. It has 11 two-story buildings and a recreational building. Work will include landscaping, siding, windows and repainting. Units will get paint, countertops, flooring and appliances as needed.

Rhapsody Partners

Rhapsody Partners, a development firm headquartered in Washington, named Martin Wilder aviation manager and chief pilot. Wilder will manage and fly corporate aircrafts as needed by company executives. He has more than 20 years of aviation experience. Rhapsody Partners was formed in 2005 by former Carina Corp. CEO Mark Doppe. The company does mixed-use, commercial and residential projects, including the $42 million Village of Centennial Springs in Las Vegas.

Coldwell Banker Bain

Coldwell Banker Bain has moved its Mercer Island office to Island Square at 7808 S.E. 28th St. The company also announced it has exceeded its goal of raising $170,000 for three Habitat for Humanity homes in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. The money is being used to build a house in West Seattle. It will also go toward new homes in Pierce and Snohomish counties. More than 400 agents and employees will work on the construction.

Market Street Mortgage

Young Goering has joined Market Street Mortgage in the Lakewood branch as a loan officer. She was with First National Mortgage in Tacoma.
