Davis Wright Tremaine

Patrick Johnson has joined Davis Wright Tremaine as an associate in the law firm's Seattle office. He was with the Cincinnati firm of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister. Davis Wright has 420 lawyers in nine offices.

ÁegisLiving

Redmond-based ÁegisLiving has appointed Marika Rausa as executive director of Áegis of Edmonds, a 62-unit facility for memory-impaired seniors. She has managed Áegis facilities in Shoreline and Seattle. ÁegisLiving operates 32 communities in Washington, California and Nevada.

Swinerton Builders

Swinerton Builders added Brian Van, Robert Gunderson, George Zaborowski, Curtis Chaves, Alfredo Gonzalez, Matt Hoffman and Thomas Ulep. Van is the firm's safety manager. He has more than 10 years of industry experience. Gunderson is a project manager with more than 11 years of experience. Zaborowski, a 32-year construction veteran, is a senior superintendent. Chaves, a superintendent, has more than 20 years of experience and previously worked for Swinerton in Southern California. Gonzalez is a project engineer in the Special Projects Division in Bellevue. Hoffmann is a project engineer. Ulep is an intern from the University of Washington.

DBIA Northwest

David Mortenson received an appreciation award from the Northwest Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America. Mortenson is a past president and founder of the local chapter.

Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.

Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. hired Mike Jackson as engineering manager and reorganized its human resources department. Jackson is managing and developing processes focused on improving quality in production. The reorganization of the HR department is focused on three production areas: components and assembly, finish and doors. Cyndy Ruiz, human resources manager, is providing support to improve productivity. She has more than 15 years of HR experience. Gustavo Tejeda, senior human resources specialist, is focusing on the finish department while Giovana Ashby, human resources specialist, is focusing on the door department.

Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission

The Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission has an opening for a three-year term for a Seattle resident. The seven-member volunteer commission administers and enforces the Seattle Elections Code, Code of Ethics, Election Pamphlet Code and Whistleblower Protection Code. Paris-based market research firm Ipsos has hired three senior researchers for its Seattle office: Tom Rideout, senior vice president of Ipsos Loyalty, Brett Tucker, vice president of Ipsos Loyalty, and Jeff Etherton as director. Rideout was with Touchpoint Innovation, Tucker with Harris Interactive, and Etherton owned his own qualitative research company.

Medio Systems

Seattle-based mobile search provider Medio Systems has hired Omar Tawakol as chief advertising officer. He was with Revenue Science.
