Steve Day, previously an executive director with Ernst & Young, recently joined the Clark Nuber accounting and consulting firm in Bellevue. He will work with the tax services group. Three senior managers were promoted to principal: Shawn Hansen, Jennifer Korten and Anthony ‘Skip' Smith. New hires include: Lilian Chiu, tax intern; Charles Dwyer, audit associate; Luke Fisher, audit intern; Mike Jackson, tax associate; Allison Kollack, tax manager; Aaron LeBeau, audit associate; Daniel Maehren, tax associate; Krystyna McCay, audit associate; Erin Schnabl, audit associate; Chrissi Sowinski, audit associate; Matthew Sutorius, audit intern; Greg Weaver, tax manager; Bill Wilson, audit intern; and Jason Woon, audit intern.
Crista Senior Community hired Barbara Culley as administrator of its skilled nursing center. She has 28 years of experience in health care and a masters of public administration from the University of Washington. Crista Senior Community is a non-profit continuous care retirement center.
Heller Ehrman said Bruce T. Bjerke has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Seattle office. He was formerly a principal at Riddell Williams. Also joining Heller Ehrman from that firm are Matthew D. Le Master as special counsel and Donna M. Cochener as an associate. Heller Ehrman has 12 offices worldwide.

Staubach's Northwest Corporate Services office has hired Mauricio Bendaña as an account manager. He has worked in the commercial real estate industry for six years, doing strategic planning, financial analysis, advisory services, and transaction management. He was with Trammell Crow Co. as senior associate for corporate advisory services, and was director of business development for Concilio LLC.
During the month of December, Coldwell Banker Bain added six new sales associates in the greater Puget Sound area. Bellevue: Cecile Miller and Patrick Moore. Capitol Hill: Michael Pachenker and Patrick Ursino. Everett: Sheila Cybyske and Aaron Moore.
The board of directors of the Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound elected officers for 2007. They are: Charlie Spaeth, chair; Bob Wolfe, vice chair; Karyn Kuever, second vice chair; Jack Hawes, treasurer; and Diane Castanes, secretary. Each will serve a one-year term. Spokane-based Potlatch Corp. named Jane Crane vice president, human resources. She replaces Christopher A. Eckel, who retired last August. Crane was human resources vice president and general manager for Unocal's North American operations.
Larry Steele, owner of Aurora Rents, has been elected 2007 board chair of Forward Shoreline, an organization that promotes Shoreline. Rob Matiko and Don Sands are new vice chairs, Ken Noreen is treasurer and finance committee chair, and Richard Matthews is general counsel and secretary.
Patrick Church, formerly of Tanana Chiefs Conference in Fairbanks, Alaska, was hired as a new business banking officer with Shoreline Bank. He was director of credit and finance and senior business loan officer for the Alaska Native organization. Tiffany McVeety, former Northwest Women's Business Center director and founder of the Latino Women and Minority Business Loan Fund, was hired as a business banking officer. The bank was founded in 1999. It has offices in Shoreline and Monroe.
