The Frause Group, a Seattle public relations, marketing and business analysis firm, hired Krista Hildebrand as managing director of the Portland office. She was general manager of Rockey Hill & Knowlton's Portland office.
The Seattle law firm of Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland said Bryan Graff and Christian Larson joined the firm as associates, and Roger Mellem was elected to member status. Graff joins the Litigation Practice Group, and Larson joins the Business and Real Estate Practice Groups. Mellem joined the Litigation Practice Group.
Prepared Response, a Seattle developer of crisis management planning and response systems, named Jim Tarte chief financial officer. He was director of finance at Scout Media.
Seattle City Council Member David Della hired David Namura as his chief of staff. Namura served as congressional fellow to U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye. Tatsuo Nakata, Della's previous chief of staff, was killed last November after he was hit by a car in a crosswalk.
Talyst, a pharmacy automation company based in Bellevue, named Jason French controller. French was vice president, finance and accounting, for UtilX Corp., a construction services company.
Peter Orser, president of Quadrant Homes, was named 2006 Private Sector Economic Development Champion by enterpriseSeattle at its annual conference in Seattle. Orser received the award for his efforts to further economic growth in the Puget Sound area.
Cushman & Wakefield of Washington hired a senior three-person team, all previously with Trammell Crow Co., to focus on leasing in the Southend industrial market. John Hanson will be senior director, and Todd Meldahl and Matt McGregor will be associate directors. Broker Matt Christian has bee hired as senior director of the downtown Seattle office leasing and sales team. P. Barton DeLacy has been named to lead the new Corporate Valuation Consulting specialty practice within the Valuation Services/Capital Markets group.
Windermere Real Estate has added two sales associates to its Seattle-International District office: Anthony Lopez and Agnes Vining, who was with Skyline Properties.
Marathon Development recently announced several appointments: James A. Cave, vice president of senior housing development; Kathryn A. Jerkovich, vice president of community development; Denise Medgard, controller; Stephanie Sulkosky, executive administrative assistant/marketing coordinator. Marathon Development, originally Marathon Senior Living Services, was founded in 1997 by Ted Johnson. Clients include private firms, non-profits and public housing authorities.

Colliers International said the Roberts Office Building at 3120 McDougall Ave. in Everett has been sold to United Way of Snohomish County. Brokers Kim Marvik of the Tacoma office and Ted Winskill of the Bellevue office represented the owner, Roberts Building Everett LLC. The price was $3.5 million. United Way will occupy half the building. The sale was part of a reverse-exchange transaction for acquisition of the 2420 Union Ave Medical Building in Tacoma for $6.3 million. Marvik also represented Roberts Building LLC on that deal.
