Wayne Bastrup joined GGLO as an architectural designer II. He joined the team working on Santa Clara St. in Vallejo, Calif., and is also working on the Fairfield at Factoria project.
Tina Ritval joined as an architectural designer I. She is working on the TCR Ballard project.
Kristi Hanna is an interior designer II. She is currently working on the Casa Munras Spa project and Shorewood Heights Condominiums.
Mike Kutsin joined GGLO as a project architect. He has joined the team working on phase II of the Avalon Bay Transit Station in Dublin, Calif.
Sparling promoted
Kristy Alley to principal. Alley joined the firm in 1998 and has worked on helping build Sparling's brand identity. She has led market research and development efforts and has been responsible for direct mail campaigns and Web site activities. Alley will be responsible for marketing operations, communications, branding, public relations, business development and initiatives that will allow Sparling to expand into new markets.
Maureen Sanchez has joined Kleinfelder's Bellevue office. Sanchez has 16 years of experience in environmental consulting. Her fields of expertise include project management, risk assessment, site investigation and managing remedial programs pursuant to federal and state regulations. She has worked on projects for the Air National Guard, ConocoPhillips USA, 7-Eleven, Puget Sound Energy, Costco and the city of Everett.
Landau Associates hired
Tena Seeds as project engineer,
Jayne Bloomberg as executive assistant and
Tonia King as a receptionist in Edmonds. The Portland office hired
Heather Easterly as assistant geologist in the Portland office. Seeds has eight years of experience, including environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater evaluations, remediation pilot testing and remediation system design. Bloomberg has three years of previous administrative experience with Landau Associates. King works as a receptionist and assists the Edmonds office with administrative tasks. Easterly provides administrative services in the Portland office.
Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs added three employees.
Don Scarberry has been named principal and civil site work project manager. He has 25 years of engineering, general contractor and environmental site assessment experience to the management team. He is working on the Good Samaritan Hospital addition in Puyallup and the St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Ore.
Barbara Lee joined the ABKJ transportation department after five years at the King County Department of Transportation. She has been assigned to the design teams for the West Thomas Street Overpass and the Orting Bridge for Kids projects.
Mike Fisher joined the ABKJ transportation department after two years of civil engineering experience in Nevada. Fisher has been assigned to the design teams for the West Thomas Street Overpass and state Route 522 Snohomish River Bridge to U.S. 2 projects.
CDi Engineers added two engineers at its Lynnwood office. Greg Jernstrom is a 2006 mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Jeremy McClanathan, a 2006 mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Washington, served four years in the U.S. Air Force in the Radio Frequency Division, and has a strong background in energy related mechanical design. They are working on several health care projects, as well as assisting with a submittal for a USGBC design contest.
The Seattle law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine named Joseph D. Weinstein to chair the Business and Corporate Finance Law Practice Group. Weinstein has over 25 years of legal experience. He joined the firm in 1986, and became a partner in 1991. Davis Wright Tremaine has 480 employees internationally.
Seattle-based Summit Law Group has appointed two of its founding members, Ralph Palumbo and Polly McNeill to its management team. Palumbo has been appointed chairman. McNeill has been appointed CEO. Summit Law Group also hired John Chun and Chris Brown. Chun joins the Labor and Employment Group. He was a partner at Preston Gates & Ellis. Brown joins the Corporate, Securities and Tax Group. Brown was a partner at Garvey Schubert Barer.
Paul Winters has been appointed sales manager for the 158-room Hotel Deca in Seattle's University District. Winters was a group sales coordinator at the Watertown Hotel. Winters will be the hotel's primary liaison with the University of Washington. Hotel Deca is owned and managed by Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts.
Ronald Ehli has joined EZPay Financial Services as CEO. Ehli was president/CEO of PayByCheck, a company he created. EZPay is a billing and processing company.
