Garvey Schubert Barer

Garvey Schubert Barer added four new attorneys to its Seattle and Portland offices. Joining as owners are Carla M. DewBerry in the Seattle office and Nancy M. Cooper in the Portland office. Greater Spokane

Greater Spokane was awarded a Community Service Award by the Association of Washington Business. The organization received the award for its workforce and education initiatives through its Career Awareness Campaign and Robotics Programs. The campaign is meant to spark the interest of youth to become aware of career opportunities that await them.

Kirkland-based Electronic Evidence Discovery hired Terry Murphy as vice president of review services. Murphy worked with Kelly Law Registry. Electronic Evidence Discovery is a national company that specializes in electronic discovery.

Davis Wright Tremaine

Monica Gianni returned to the Seattle office of law firm Davis Wright Tremaine as a partner in the Tax Practice Group. Gianni worked with the company from 1995 to 1999, but spent the last eight years heading her own firm called The Gianni Law Firm. Davis Wright has 480 attorneys internationally

City of Kenmore

The city of Kenmore hired Nancy K. Ousley as assistant city manager. Ousley has 20 years of government experience and spent the past five years as an assistant director with the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development.

Cairncross & Hempelmann

Seattle law firm Cairncross & Hempelmann hired two new associates: Jeremie Lipton and Matt Lincecum. Lipton spent four years as an attorney for the U.S. Air Force and two years in private practice. Lincecum provides legal services exclusively to the wine, beer, restaurant and hospitality industries with a focus on federal and state licensing issues, business practices, marketing and distribution.

Potlatch

Spokane-based Potlatch Corp. hired Eric J. Cremers as vice president, finance and chief financial officer. Cremers will replace Gerald L. Zuehlke as CFO, who will retire at the end of the year. Cremers was senior vice president of corporate strategy and business development for the Albertsons grocery chains. Potlatch is a REIT with approximately 1.5 million acres of forestland in Arkansas, Idaho, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Metzler North America

Metzler North America said Blake Eagle will serve on its board of directors. He returns to the Northwest from Chicago as CEO emeritus of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), the institutional real estate investment performance and standards setting body. Eagle founded NCREIF in 1977. Eagle was chairman of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Real Estate. Seattle-based Metzler is a real estate investment bank.

ÁegisLiving

ÁegisLiving of Redmond has acquired the majority ownership interest in ÁegisLiving from its former parent company. As a result of the buyout, CEO Dwayne Clark is now majority owner of ÁegisLiving. The parent company was co-founded 10 years ago by Clark and Bill Gallaher, president and CEO of Oakmont Senior Living, the real estate and construction arm of the parent company. The new status as an independent company will not affect management contracts with Oakmont Senior Living properties or with properties currently under development.

Intervest Mortgage

Spokane-based Intervest Mortgage Investment Co. has promoted Matt Couch to assistant vice president. He has been a loan officer with Intervest since 2002. He has experience in commercial acquisition, development and investment in the Puget Sound and San Francisco markets.

NAIOP June 20 meeting on traffic

The topic of the June 20 meeting of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties is “Can Our Traffic Problems be Solved? A Blueprint for Regional Transportation,” starting at 7 a.m. with registration and networking, following by breakfast at 7:30.
