Destination Hotels & Resorts hired Andrea Higgins and Zuned Ali as new sales managers to the team at the Suncadia resort, near Roslyn. Both will be based in Bellevue. Higgins recently graduated from Washington State University. Ali worked for Marriott for 10 years. Suncadia is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in suburban Denver.
Acrongenomics in Vancouver, B.C., hired Dr. Dimitri Goundis as chief executive officer. Goundis has worked with Hoffman La Rouche and The Medicines Co. Acrongenomics invests and commercializes technology platforms.

The Driftmier Architects has hired
Robert Ryan as an intern architect. Ryan is currently providing architectural support for a variety of projects including the Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District headquarters.
Hart Crowser announced the promotion to principal of two key employees.
Mike Ehlebracht, an environmental geochemist at the Seattle office, has been with Hart Crowser since 1987. Ehlebracht has a background in environmental geochemistry with an emphasis on transport and fate of contaminants in the subsurface as well as expertise in environmental forensic analysis. Ehlebracht is the manager of the environmental services division and serves as the corporate health and safety officer. He is Hart Crowser's program manager for the Toxics Cleanup Program for the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Rick Ernst, principal geologist, at the Portland office has been with the firm for 17 years. Ernst has a background in environmental investigation and cleanup, on both small and large projects. Ernst is program manager for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality's Orphan Site Program to assist in addressing contaminated sites in Oregon.

Law firm Lane Powell hired Portia R. Moore as a shareholder in the Labor and Employment and the Complex Litigation Practice Groups. Moore worked at Morrison & Foerster and has been an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Washington in Seattle.
Open Door Studios opened at 2731 Eastlake Ave. in Seattle. Open Door Studios provides art guidance, equipment and workspace for members to use while working on projects. It has a main art area, a social area with an art library, a photography darkroom, a family room, a 3D art room and a small-scale woodworking area.
The Westin Seattle hired Aaron Burris as its new lead front desk manager. Burris has five years hospitality industry experience and worked at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
