Bellevue-based Baldwin Resource Group hired Jeanette Busby as account manager in the benefits department. She has 13 years of experience in the field and is president of the Northwest Washington Association of Health Underwriters. Baldwin Resource Group offers professional services, including risk management and insurance, to companies.
The Sorrento Hotel hired Sandra Cook as director of sales and marketing. Cook has 10 years experience in hospitality sales. She worked at the Heathman Hotel Kirkland.
The Campaign Disclosure Project, a national survey of campaign finance disclosure requirements and public access to campaign information, ranked Washington first in the nation in campaign disclosure. This is Washington's fourth consecutive first-place ranking. The project is conducted by the UCLA School of Law, the Center for Governmental Studies and the California Voter Foundation. It is supported by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
Allstate Insurance opened a new agency in Mill Creek at 3922 148th St. S.E. It is owned and operated by agent Verla Calderon. Calderon has 11 years experience in the insurance industry. Allstate is a national personal lines insurer.
Otak has named five new principals and promoted five employees to senior associate.

Morales, a senior project manager and architect for 20 years, has worked with Otak for seven years; Sheldon has 26 years of experience and has been with the firm for one year; Laird, a senior project manager in Otak's Water and Natural Resources team, has 25 years of experience, eight at Otak; Ragone, has spent 14 of his 19 years in Otak as director of technology; and Simmler, a senior project manager in water and natural resources, has 29 years of experience, five with the firm. ALSC Architects of Spokane hired
Arlin Berge as a project architect/manager. Berge has 25 years of experience and previously worked at RHL Design Group in Colorado. He will manage ALSC's Coeur d'Alene office and is working on the new Panhandle Animal Shelter in Sandpoint.

Alan M. Zelenka as energy services leader. Zelenka has more than 20 years of experience in power projects and conservation programs and has been involved in energy regulation and policy at the national, regional and local level. Zelenka will lead teams on energy management, energy recovery and climate change mitigation projects.

Rodrigo I. Del Carpio as a project designer. Del Carpio most recently worked as a design architect for WATG in Honolulu and has eight years of design experience in Mexico City, where he is a licensed architect. He is working on two homes in Sammamish, a courtroom remodel for King County and an addition to the U.S. Forest Service Cle Elum Ranger Station.
