Nyhus Communications, a Seattle-based strategic public relations and public affairs firm, promoted six team members. Michael Graubard is account supervisor; Beau Fong, Jessica Joffe Stein and Marc Stiles are account managers; Joe Feese is chief writer; and Gregg Flotlin is account executive.

Skamania Lodge

Skamania Lodge, a resort in the Columbia River Gorge managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, hired Scott Spann as general manager. Spann has 20 years experience as a general manager and worked at The Chattanoogan in Tennessee.

IsoRay

Richland-based IsoRay said a company director, Dwight Babcock, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors and will also be interim chief executive officer, following the resignation of Roger Girard. Girard had been chairman and CEO since July of 2005. Robert R. Kauffman, also a director, will be vice chairman. Lori Woods, currently vice president/marketing, will be acting chief operating officer. IsoRay is a medical isotope company focusing on the treatment of prostate cancer and other malignant diseases.

GVA Kidder Mathews

Bruce
Nelle Bruce has joined the Bellevue office of GVA Kidder Mathews, where she will specialize in office leasing and sales in the brokerage division. The firm has 150 brokers in seven offices in Washington, Oregon, and California.

Urban Renaissance Group

Urban Renaissance Group is expanding in Portland by adding a new team member and moving to office space in the Morgan Building. Kimberly Fuller, who was previously the managing director of operations for Equity Office Properties in Portland, was recently named general manager of Urban Renaissance Group's Portland projects. Fuller joins marketing director Thomas Kilbane and vice president of development Vince Sheridan in the Portland office. Fuller has more than 12 years of real estate experience.

Hendricks & Partners

Investment property owner, former brokerage advisor and acquisition associate John Shaw has joined the Seattle office of Hendricks & Partners as an associate. He has assisting in the acquisition of over 500 apartment units for a local Seattle-area condominium converter. Shaw will provide acquisition, disposition and other advisory services to multifamily investors and operators throughout the state. The Phoenix-based firm claims to be the nation's largest sales and research firm focused exclusively on multifamily. It has 26 regional offices.

Su Development

The Village Bellevue, a workplace alternative for home-based businesses, is leasing more than 14,000 square feet of space in Elements Too, Su Development's mixed-use development in the Ashwood area of downtown Bellevue. Other businesses include art exhibition space Open Satellite, Ashwood Urban Market, Deyss Salon & Spa, Vertigo Lounge and Grill, and Zen Asian Bistro. Denise Trogdon is Su Development's marketing and leasing manager. Elements is a two-phase project located between Northeast Eighth and 10th streets at 112th Avenue Northeast. The first phase opened in 2006 with 166 apartments. The second phase, Elements Too, is set to open in the fall 2008, with a 22-story tower and a 13-story mid-rise. It will have 274 apartments and approximately 48,000 square feet of retail. Su Development has built more than 1,500 multi-family homes, apartments, townhomes and condos.

Lane Powell

The law firm of Lane Powell is offering a breakfast program on “Professional Liability: Practice Developments and Business Concerns” aimed at design professionals, developers and real estate professionals on Thursday, April 10. Topics will include LEED, building information modeling and design build. Presenters will come from the law firm as well as insurers.
