Pacific Continental

Pacific Continental Corp., the bank holding company for Pacific Continental Bank, announced two title changes. Charlotte Boxer is now president, director of commercial real estate, and Basant Singh is president, greater Seattle market. The title changes reflect their executive leadership in their respective markets.

Group Health Credit Union

Group Health Credit Union hired Robert Schweigert as vice president and chief lending officer. Schweigert was vice president of lending at Washington's Credit Union for ten years. The Group Health Credit Union serves 27,000 members nationwide.

Seattle Public Library

Marilynne Gardner, chief financial and administrative officer for the Seattle Public Library, will serve as interim chief executive for the library system when City Librarian Deborah L. Jacobs joins the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in July. Gardner will not be a candidate for the city librarian position. The library board plans to use an executive search firm to lead a national search for Jacobs' successor.

Bell Harbor Conference Center

Columbia Hospitality named Pieter Koomen director of sales for Bell Harbor International Conference Center and World Trade Center Seattle. Koomen has 20 years of industry experience and has worked with Columbia Hospitality for the last four years at Talaris Conference Center in Seattle and the Washington Mutual Leadership Center at Cedarbrook in SeaTac.

Grubb & Ellis

Grubb & Ellis Co. hired Aaron Dunsdon as a senior project manager. He was with The Staubach Co., where he spent the past four years as a project manager overseeing Class A office, critical facilities, customer care centers and technology projects. Dunsdon has a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from the University of Washington.

Network Mortgage Services

Lynnwood-based Network Mortgage Services added two loan officers. Debra Hawkinson and Angela Cohen will work at the Lynnwood Home Loan Center. Hawkinson worked for Washington Mutual Bank and MortgageInfoLine. Cohen worked for Golf Savings Bank and American Home Mortgage. Cohen focuses on homebuyer education and is a certified instructor for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.

CondoCompare

CondoCompare, a new Web site for buying and selling condos, named Walter Conner as chief marketing officer. Conner will lead the nationwide branding campaign as well as marketing, public relations and product development. He was vice president of marketing for Prepared Response, a Seattle software company, and was senior director of communications at Drugstore.com. CondoCompare.com allows buyers and sellers to research, rank, comment, and buy or sell condos from their office or home. The site also provides neighborhood information, historical price data, condo dues and taxes. It currently serves Washington and Oregon, with California launching soon, followed by 11 other major markets by year end.

AMB Property

AMB Property Corp., a developer and owner of industrial real estate, won the 2007 Industrial Development of the Year award from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Washington Chapter for AMB Valley Distribution Center, a 750,000-square-foot development AMB completed in the third quarter of 2007. Tenants are DHL Exel Supply Chain and a Fortune 50 company. Jim McGill of AMB said it is the largest speculative project ever built in the Pacific Northwest.

American Institute of Certified Planners

The American Institute of Certified Planners inducted Stephen C. Butler of Seattle into its membership of the AICP College of Fellows. Election to the fellowship is granted to planners who have been longtime members of AICP and demonstrated excellence. Butler is director of planning and community development for the city of SeaTac.

Tulalip Resort Casino

Tulalip Resort Casino hired Arleen Edward as director of catering and conference services of its new 30,000-square-foot meeting and conference facilities, opening this summer. Edward has 14 years of hospitality and catering experience and was senior event director at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Mich.

Pelago

Seattle-based Pelago, creators of the mobile social discovery service Whrrl, appointed Bill Gossman as a board member and hired Jeff Ayars as vice president of engineering. Gossman has 20 years experience building and leading organizations, holds 11 patents, and was president and CEO of Revenue Science. Ayars has 17 years experience designing and writing software, holds three patents, and was chief technology officer at Seattle startup Konamoxt. Pelago was founded by former senior executives from Amazon.com.
