Transportation Solutions

Field
Transportation Solutions of Redmond hired Hillary Field as a transportation engineer. Field is experienced in traffic impact analysis, parking studies, traffic forecasting and simulation modeling, and the application of economic theory to driver behavior and choice. Her projects include Good Samaritan roundabout design review, Anacortes Hotel, Canyon Park Ridge/Kid's Country and Eastown.

Rush
NAC|Architecture named Dustin Rush as network support technician for its Spokane office and Kevin Mooney as network support technician for its Seattle office. Their responsibilities include maintaining computer and network operations. Rush previously worked for Premera Blue Cross in customer service and support. He specializes in information technology and network systems. Mooney previously worked for Edmonds School District at Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood. Mooney's area of expertise includes technology and network administration. The firm also hired Erik Tremain as an intern architect. Tremain's focus is Revit (building information modeling software) implementation and 3D animation using Autodesk Maya. He is working on Machias and Riverview elementary schools for the Snohomish School District. Rob Paradiso has also returned to NAC|Architecture. An associate, he has provided design and production support on many of the firm's health care, education, recreation and renovation projects. He is working on the Grant County Skills Center in Moses Lake, as well as a new campus classroom building at Spokane Falls Community College Paradiso originally joined NAC|Architecture in 1997.

HBB

Vong
HBB promoted Juliet Vong to president. Colie Hough-Beck, co-founder and former president of HBB, will continue to respond to client needs, and facilitate the planning and design process as vice president. HBB specializes in landscape architecture, planning, and urban design with offices in Seattle and Boise.

Sparling

Degnan
Sparling named principal James E. Degnan chief engineer. With more than 32 years in the design of power, lighting, emergency and security systems in the built environment, Degnan has played an active role in the firm for more than 11 years. In his new role, Degnan will oversee the technical aspects of Sparling's electrical engineering practice. He will lead the firm's technical excellence committee and value innovation program. Degnan is a registered professional electrical engineer in 20 states.

Landau Associates

Hyllseth
Landau Associates' Tacoma office hired Rolf Hyllseth as a senior geotechnical engineer. Hyllseth has more than 19 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and project management, and will be a part of the firm's Tacoma/Eastern Washington Business Unit. The Edmonds office hired Ken Brown as a senior technician II. Brown has experience providing remediation system technical support.

Foster Pepper

Foster Pepper hired Bill Lynch as of counsel. Lynch worked at Washington Mutual for 26 years where he rose to senior vice president and associate general counsel. At Foster Pepper, he will be working in the firm's Financial Institutions Group, where he will be helping institutions find their way through the current challenging business and regulatory environment.

King County Housing Authority

King County Executive Ron Sims has appointed Michael Brown to serve a five-year term as a King County Housing Authority commissioner. Brown was approved on March 23 by the Metropolitan King County Council and replaces KCHA Commissioner Debra Coates, who has served on the board for two terms. Brown is currently vice president for community leadership at The Seattle Foundation, and has worked with the region's poor for 15 years.

Vadium Technology

Vadium Technology in Tacoma, a provider of easy to use, unbreakable data encryption solutions, hired Dale Miller to the senior executive team as senior vice president sales and marketing. Miller has 30 years of international sales experience and has worked with Global Crossing and AT&T.
