Seattle Integrative Center

The Seattle Integrative Center has opened as a new acupuncture clinic near Pike Place Market. The center is owned by Brandon Leahy, a licensed acupuncturist.

RW Smith & Associates

Bellevue-based RW Smith & Associates, an interdealer broker in the fixed income markets, opened its first Boston-area office in Hingham, Mass. The office will serve as the company's base of operations for the Northeast region and will be headed by Brian Campbell, who joins RW Smith from Alta Capital Group.

eMagin

Bellevue-based eMagin Corp., an OLED virtual imaging technology company, promoted Amal Ghosh to senior vice president, research and development. Ghosh worked in OLED technology and research at both Eastman Kodak and eMagin. He has worked with the company since 2006.

Triad Associates promoted Travis Bradley, Leslie Ryan, Jill Shriver and Kim Trahan to associates. A former field survey crew member and party chief, Bradley is now a survey technician. He has been with Triad for four years. Both Ryan and Trahan are administrative assistants who have been with the company for about three years. Shriver is a marketing and communications specialist who joined Triad in January of 2007.

Sparling hired Steve Lynch as electrical project manager and Mark Martin as electrical project designer in the Portland office. Lynch specializes in health care, hospitality and office environments and is working on projects at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Allenmore Medical Center in Tacoma, and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. Martin has a background in electrical systems, lighting controls and power distribution. He is providing electrical design support for Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Legacy Salmon Creek in Vancouver and Washington State University-Vancouver's applied technology center.

PRR

PRR, a Seattle-based public affairs and communications firm, hired Hadley Greene Rodero and Christy Keni. Rodero is a senior associate. She has over eight years of experience and was recently community relations manager for Washington State Ferries. Keni is an accounts receivable specialist. She has more than 10 years of accounting experience and recently worked for an environmental science and engineering firm.

Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau

The Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau hired Wendy Le Sesne as director of marketing and Erin Cass as group marketing manager. Le Sesne was previously the group sales manager at the WVVB from 2002-2006. Cass served as the outdoor education director of Camp Fire USA North Central Washington Council.

Venture Bank

Venture Bank hired Brandice Rodgers as a customer service representative at the bank's Kent Financial Center. Venture Bank has 18 financial centers in four western Washington counties.

Day CPM

Dodson
Construction management company Day CPM hired Joshua Dodson as a principal to help oversee its growing portfolio of projects. Dodson is a recognized construction project manager from Oregon who has worked as an owner's representative for more than a decade. Day CPM has offices in Bellevue and Portland.

Schuchart Corp.

Seattle-based Schuchart Corp. promoted Dan Walker to project manager from assistant project manager. Walker has been with the company for three years and is a member of its sustainability committee. In 2007, he become Schuchart's first LEED Accredited Professional. Prior to joining Schuchart, he spent 10 years as operations manager for a large bakery where he managed all aspects of new construction, expansions and remodeling projects.

U.S. Small Business Administration

The Seattle Regional Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration named Randolph Construction Services as 2009 Region X Prime Contractor of the Year and Federal Engineers and Constructors as Subcontractor of the Year. Pasco-based Randolph is a registered woman-owned small business with 40 employees. It began as a mechanical construction firm and has grown into a design-build general contractor focusing on prevailing wage projects. Its safety record includes an EMR rating of 0.78. Richland-based Federal Engineers and Constructors has grown in its eight years to become a premier hazardous and radiological remediation company. The company claims its Remediation Division has cleared more contaminated nuclear and hazardous waste from underground sites than any firm in the country. Its EMR rating is 0.60.

Northwest Energy Star Homes

Northwest Energy Star Homes named The Burnsteads as the Washington Large Builder of the Year, New Tradition Homes as the Regional Builder of the Year and Devoted Builders as Washington Small Builder of the Year. The Burnsteads built 71 Energy Star-certified homes in 2008, New Tradition built 132 and Devoted built 11. The awards are given annually to builders and verification companies that support the advancement of new Northwest Energy Star homes throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. The companies were judged on a range of criteria, including the number of Energy Star homes built, marketing and sales efforts, commitment to quality, training, construction methods and quality control.
