Seattle-based Optimum Energy, a provider of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning software, is partnering with Tom Hartman to bring his HVAC design and control expertise to the company's largest projects. Hartman is working with the company's Engineering Services team, which is based in San Diego and deployed across the country. He is a Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager and founder of The Hartman Co. Optimum Energy offers an HVAC optimization solution that Hartman developed 10 years ago. The Engineering Services team specializes in engineering centrifugal chiller plants and variable-air-volume air handling systems.
Garvey Schubert Barer announced Cynthia Fraser, Samuel Kauffman and Carrie Richter of the firm's Portland office have been promoted to owners. Fraser's practice focuses on land use disputes, condemnation litigation and property tax appeals. Kauffman practices white-collar criminal defense and litigation. Richter represents business, community and government entities in land use planning and municipal law.
The Port of Tacoma hired Curt Stoner as the new senior manager of container terminal business. Before joining the port, Stoner spent 15 years as commercial manager at Totem Ocean Trailer Express, a port customer that serves Alaska.
Northwest Hospital & Medical Center hired Michael Lee as a board-certified internist. His practice is located in Suite 104 of the Medical Arts Building, 1530 N. 115th St., on the Northwest Hospital & Medical Center campus. Lee has been practicing medicine for over 10 years and specializes in chronic disease management and preventative and wellness care.
