Pacific Continental Bank

Pacific Continental Bank hired Sarah McCrum as a relationship banking officer. McCrum will work from the bank's office in downtown Seattle.

Japan-America Society

The Japan-America Society of the State of Washington announced the Moriguchi Family is the recipient of the 2010 Thomas S. Foley Award. The award annually recognizes a person or organization that enhances the relationship between Japan and the U.S. The Moriguchi Family is being recognized for its long history in Seattle, and for fostering strong ties between communities. The award is named for Thomas S. Foley, who was speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1989 to 1995.

BizXchange

Seattle-based BizXchange, a business-to-business barter company, has relocated its North American headquarters to Bellevue. BizXchange said it needs more space. It is growing as more companies use bartering. BizXchange also has offices in the Bay Area and Dubai.

Cascade Windows

Womble
Cascade Windows promoted Jim Womble to director of sales. Womble joined Cascade in 1990, just a year after the company was founded. He worked his way up from basic production labor to various sales and management roles at the Spokane Valley office. In his new position, he will oversee all 13 of the company's territory managers in the western U.S. Cascade makes vinyl windows and patio doors at plants in Spokane Valley, Portland and Salt Lake City.

Snyder Roofing

Snyder Roofing won a 2010 CNA Leadership in Safety Award. Snyder was recognized for developing a safety culture in its operations and its participation in CNA training programs. Both Snyder Roofing of Oregon and Snyder Roofing of Washington will receive the award during each company's safety meetings in May. CNA is a large commercial insurer.

Sicklesteel Cranes

The Associated General Contractors of America gave Sicklesteel Cranes a Construction Safety Excellence Award during the association's national convention in March. Sicklesteel took first place in its specialty division category. The awards recognize companies that have developed premier safety and loss prevention programs, and showcase companies that have achieved continuous improvements and maintenance of their safety and health management systems.

AGC of Washington

The AGC of America honored its Washington chapter for “Best Overall Public Relations Campaign” in 2009. The award was presented during the recent national convention in Orlando, Fla., and recognizes the chapter's “Member Centered – Value Driven” campaign.

Destination Hotels and Resorts

Craig Peterson has been promoted to regional director of engineering for Destination Hotels & Resorts. Peterson will be responsible for overseeing engineering teams and operations for Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Skamania Lodge in Stevenson and Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. He has been director of engineering for Sunriver Resort since 2006, where he will maintain his current responsibilities.

Judicial Dispute Resolution

Judicial Dispute Resolution, a dispute resolution firm, will move to the Joshua Green Building at 1425 Fourth Ave. The move will be effective May 15.

Washington Independent Bankers

Cathy Reines, First Heritage Bank's CEO and president, was recently elected to the Western Independent Bankers Board of Directors. WIB was established to inform, educate and connect community bankers, serving more than 300 community banks in 12 western states.

Association for Healthcare Foodservice

The board of directors for the Association for Healthcare Foodservice approved affiliation of the Washington State Chapter as one of seven inaugural regional chapters with the national organization. Mary Hanson, manager of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, is state chapter president. Other chapters are in Chicago Midwest, Florida and Oregon.
