Cascadia Community College

The Board of Trustees of Cascadia Community College in Bothell selected Dr. Eric Murray as the next president of the college following an extensive national search. Murray is the vice president for student services at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, where he has been since 2006. He is expected to start on July 26 and replaces Dr. Bill Christopher, who is retiring at the end of June after serving as Cascadia's president for five years.

DocuSign

DocuSign, a Seattle provider of the SaaS-based electronic signature platform, hired Mike Dinsdale as chief financial officer. Dinsdale was CFO of Lithium, a SaaS platform and application suite provider.

WSU

The WSU Pierce County Extension Office has moved to the Pierce County Department of Community Services' offices in the Soundview Building at 3602 Pacific Ave., Suite B, in Tacoma. Programs include Master Gardeners, 4-H, Agriculture, Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education, SNAP-Ed and Water Quality. They provide a variety of services including consulting on low impact development projects.

Sparling

Sparling hired registered nurse Debby Ramundo as a senior technology consultant, IT Architecture. In her 35-year career, Ramundo has been involved in inpatient medical-surgical, outpatient rehabilitation, operating room, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, skilled nursing and home-care services. She will work with Sparling's health care IT professionals and clinicians. Sparling provides services in technology, audiovisual, electrical, acoustical and lighting design.

Bassetti Architects

Nancy Staub Callery and Eric Lanciault are new principals at Bassetti Architects. Lanciault returned to the firm after being sole proprietor of Office oA. His award-winning Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Vancouver was recognized for using cast-in-place concrete. Other recent projects include Fire Station 10 in Vancouver and the Anatomical Sciences building at the University of Western States in Portland. Callery has focused on sustainable design for educational and community facilities. She worked on West Seattle High School, Chief Sealth High/Denny Middle International schools, Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and the Quileute Tribe's Akalat Center in La Push. Bassetti provides architecture, planning and historic preservation services.

BHC Consultants

BHC Consultants senior planner Talia Henze received certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners, and Peter Cunningham, also with BHC, received a Washington state engineering license. Henze assists jurisdictions with subarea plans, design guidelines, code review and community outreach. Cunningham works in the civil engineering group on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. BHC is a Seattle-based engineering, planning and code compliance firm.

Coffman Engineers

Coffman Engineers hired structural engineer Jeff Mitchell, who has experience in timber, masonry, post-tensioned concrete and steel design. Mitchell spent three years at DCI Engineers where he worked on Whitworth University's Science Building, Southgate Elementary and Gonzaga University's Coughlin Hall. Coffman provides civil, structural, industrial mechanical, lighting and corrosion control engineering.

The Edgewater Hotel

The Edgewater Hotel hired Sarah Kiepe as director of sales and marketing. Kiepe joins The Edgewater from Columbia Hospitality where she was director of sales for the Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie. She has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Athena Marketing International

Thomas Vilsack, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, re-appointed Peter Guyer, president of Seattle's Athena Marketing International, to a second term as a member of the Advisory Committee on Emerging Markets of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The committee provides information and advice to the USDA to promote exports of U.S. food, beverage and agricultural products in developing economies. Athena provides international marketing, business development and strategic consulting services.

Seattle Genetics

Seattle Genetics of Bothell hired Charles Romp as vice president, sales and promoted Jonathan Drachman to senior vice president, research and translational medicine. Romp has 19 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical sales and sales management experience. He recently worked with Genentech, a wholly owned member of the Roche Group. Drachman joined Seattle Genetics in 2004 and was recently vice president, translational medicine.

Showplace Inc.

Kelleran Larson
Redmond-based Showplace Inc. has merged with Colour Painting & Construction, Malia's Interiors and Kelleran Custom Homes to create a full-service residential construction firm under the Showplace name. Bruce Kelleran, former Showplace president and CEO, is now board chairman. Nathan Larson is the new firm's president and CEO. He previously was president of Colour Painting & Construction. Malia Kelleran Larson was appointed vice president. Brad Kelleran, former president of Kelleran Custom Homes, will serve with Larson on the board of directors.

Parr Lumber

The Parr Co. opened a new Parr Lumber location at 3808 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley. Tim Kellar is yard manager and sales are managed by Jason Behunin, Parr's director of sales. Kellar will report to regional manager Tim Jeffries. Parr has been serving the Spokane market for many years and the new yard will allow it to expand in the area. Parr operates 40 facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Utah which include pro/retail building material yards, contractor-focused facilities and cabinet outlets. It is headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore.
