Architects West

Architects West hired Matt Knoll as client development director, a new position in the company. Knoll will be responsible for business development and relationship management in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon. He has seven years of industry experience, including commercial construction and architecture. Architects West provides architectural, landscape architecture/land planning and interior design in the Northwest.

Inca Engineers

Inca Engineers, a Tetra Tech company, added five transportation and surveying employees in its Bellevue office. They are: Torger Erikson, Jonathan Harris, Brian Blevins, Travis Bradley and Rudy Cordova. Inca provides transportation planning/engineering, structural engineering, navigation, flood control, mechanical, electrical, construction services and surveying for public agencies. It also has a New Orleans office.

Wilson Engineering

Wilson Engineering hired J. Thomas Brewster as land and hydrographic survey department manager. He has 19 years of experience as a surveyor, including 15 at Wilson. He also has more than 10 years of marine and river hydrographic surveying experience. Brewster returns to Wilson after one year as an instructor of land surveying and mapping technologies at Bellingham Technical College. Bellingham-based Wilson provides civil and structural engineering, surveying and GIS services. Its projects include roads, stormwater, water, wastewater, campuses, parks, port facilities, new buildings, building renovations and seismic rehabilitations.

Terra Associates

Terra Associates promoted Carolyn Schepper, who received her engineers license, from staff engineer to project engineer. She has provided geotechnical engineering design services on projects that include slope stabilization, excavation shoring and foundations for mid- to high-rise structures. Terra is a geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting firm headquartered in Kirkland.

Shoreline Community College

Shoreline Community College named Jane McNabb as chief advancement officer. While executive vice president of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, she helped to raise over $5 million. McNabb will oversee the public information office and Shoreline Community College Foundation.

Liberty Northwest

Liberty Northwest, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, appointed Danny R. Schamma to vice president, finance. He began his career with the company in 1988 and was division finance manager for Liberty Mutual in Ohio.

City of Shoreline

Shoreline City Manager Robert L. Olander said he will retire after 30 years in city government in February of 2011. He has been city manager since 2006. The city said in a press release he has accomplished a number of goals, including improvements to rights of way, parks, surface water and city facilities.

SonoSite

SonoSite said Chief Financial Officer Mike Schuh will retire at the end of the year after 10 years with the company. Senior Vice President Marcus Smith, who has previously worked for Philips Medical Systems and J.P. Morgan, will replace Schuh.

Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.

Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. added Brandon Spearman to its Canadian sales team and Randy Hicks to its regional sales team based in Dallas, Texas. Spearman is working out of Langley, B.C. He has been involved in the construction industry for 15 years. Hicks is responsible for sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. He has more than 30 years of industry experience.
