Ronald Cook and Robert Hart were named managing partners at United Tile. The two have worked with United Chairman Ken Wiedemann for more than 17 years. Cook focuses on sales and marketing, while Hart is in charge of finance and operations. Cook has more than 30 years of industry experience; Hart holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. United distributes tile and other building materials through four locations in Washington and Oregon. Cook works in the Renton office, while Hart and Wiedemann work in the Portland office.
Bellevue's Lagotek hired Phil Herres as chief executive officer. Eugene Luskin, former CEO, is remaining as chairman and chief technology officer. Herres has more than 25 years of senior management experience, including a role as chief operating officer at Aldus prior to its merger with Adobe Systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Gonzaga University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. Lagotek develops and markets energy-saving building and home automation systems.
King County Executive Dow Constantine appointed Natasha Jones director of customer service. Jones was deputy communications director in the Executive's Office. She will lead an inter-departmental team of customer service officers and establish performance measures for customer satisfaction. Jones started at the county four years ago as the first communications manager for the offices and divisions of the Department of Executive Services.
Cindi Holmstrom will leave the Washington State Department of Revenue on Dec. 1 after serving nearly six years, longer than any director of the department in the past 35 years. Holmstrom will take a new position with Pierce Consulting Group, an economic consulting and government affairs business based in Olympia. Holmstrom previously was executive director of the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee.
Southern-Odom/Spirits West of the Pacific Northwest, a joint venture of Southern Wine & Spirits of America and the Odom Corp., hired John Klein as Southern-Odom's executive vice president-wine and spirits.
The Board of Directors of the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce selected Michael Wells as executive director. Wells recently served as interim executive director of the chamber, and has lived, worked and volunteered on Capitol Hill for more than two decades. He was a manager and owner of Bailey/Coy Books.

Virginia Nicholson, an associate in the Seattle office of law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently voted onto the board of directors for Family Law Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA of King County. Nicholson focuses her practice in the area of commercial litigation. Family Law CASA is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the needs of children in high-risk custody cases in King County.
Seattle-based Optimum Energy, a provider of heating, ventilating and air conditioning software solutions, hired Matthew Frey as president and CEO. Frey has 17 years experience working with high tech startup companies and was recently president and COO of World Wide Packets.
Garvey Schubert Barer Owner Akane Suzuki has been elected through a rigorous peer review process as a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. ACTEC works to improve trusts and estates representation. Suzuki is chair of Garvey Schubert Barer's Estate Planning, Probate and Estate Litigation Group.
Panera Bread has opened its newest bakery-cafe in the Capitol Hill neighborhood at 1620 Broadway. The hours of operation are Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. At the end of each day, Panera donates all unsold bread and baked goods to local area hunger relief agencies.
