Low Income Housing Institute

The Low Income Housing Institute's Board of Directors elected two new members: Roderick Butler and Michael Fait. Butler is owner of N3 Architects. Fait is a vice president and regional manager of CRA Compliance for KeyBank. LIHI owns and manages more than 1,700 affordable housing units in the Puget Sound region.

Realogics Sotheby's International

Seattle-based Realogics Sotheby's International Realty opened a brokerage at 271 Madison St. on Bainbridge Island. Dennis Paige, a longtime island resident and real estate broker, is managing director of the branch with co-founding directors Dean and Stacy Jones, franchise owners. Since establishing a franchise in the Sotheby's International Realty network last year, the company has grown to more than 30 agents.

Colliers International

Commercial Property Executive and Multi-Housing News ranked Seattle-based Colliers International the top commercial real estate company. The ranking considers employment stability, long-term management tenure, a consistent history under the same name, and geographic and sector diversity. Colliers has 480 offices in 61 countries.

Market Leader

Kirkland-based Market Leader, a publicly traded company that helps real estate professionals with online marketing, hired Sarah Daniels as chief marketing officer. She previously worked for DreamBox Learning and Aventail Corp.

Northwest Group Real Estate

Northwest Group Real Estate moved its headquarters from downtown Seattle to 5000 30th Ave. N.E. near University Village to focus on the Laurelhurst, Windermere, View Ridge and Ravenna/Bryant areas. Nick W. Glant and Patrick Saurez founded the company in 2007.

Bellevue Downtown Association awards

Two real estate projects won 2010 Place Making Awards from the Bellevue Downtown Association: the 75,000-square-foot Seattle Children's Bellevue Clinic and Surgery Center won the Opening of the Year award and the 396-unit Avalon Towers Bellevue won Residential Development of the Year.

Raha to give CCIM forecast

Arun Raha, chief economist for the state of Washington, will speak at the CCIM state chapter's Feb. 9 economic forecast lunch at 11:45 a.m. at the Seattle Yacht Club, 1807 E. Hamlin St. Register at commercialmls.com.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt

Newly retired Oregon Supreme Court Justice W. Michael Gillette has joined the regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt as a shareholder in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Gillette, who left the bench in December, served as an associate justice since 1986 following nine years as a judge on the Oregon State Court of Appeals. Gillette will work with Schwabe shareholder Bill Crow to build the mediation and arbitration practice.

GreenRubino

GreenRubino, a Seattle-based, full-service marketing agency, hired Joe Quatrone as creative director. Quatrone has 20 years of experience, and was recently vice president and creative director for Drake Cooper or Idaho.

Holland America Line

As part of its corporate reorganization following the relocation of sister brand Seabourn to Seattle, Holland America Line hired Mark Kammerer as senior vice president, marketing and North American sales. Kammerer was formerly vice president, worldwide cruise marketing, for the line.
