Cascade Engine Center, a distributor of HiPower generator sets, has added Larry Burrill as the power generation manager to its team. Burrill will be responsible for managing and growing the HiPower generator business in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Western Montana. HiPower offers open, sound attenuated and portable generator units for standby or rental applications based on John Deere, Mitsubishi and Yanmar engines ranging from 5 kW standby to 2 MW and will have UL2200 certified units this year. Woodland Park Zoo hired Jamie Creola as vice president of education. Creola will oversee educational offerings, and was recently director of education and visitor services at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida.
Carrix promoted Carlos Urriola to senior vice president. Urriola was general manager of Manzanillo International Terminal where he oversaw marketing and customer contracts for international operations. He has worked for the business since 1995.
The Seattle office of law firm Bracewell & Giuliani hired Jeleen Guttenberg as a partner in the Employee Benefits, ERISA and Executive Compensation Group. Tracy Davis, an associate in the Energy Regulation and Compliance Practice in Washington, D.C., has also moved to the Seattle office. Guttenberg worked with Skadden Arps. Bracewell opened the Seattle office last July.
Ivar's is opening an Ivar's Seafood Bar in Puyallup, more than a decade after closing its location in the city. The restaurant at 13101 Meridian Ave. E. should open in April and is the 26th location. It will indoor seating for 62 and outdoor seating for 20.
Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Elizabeth Bloomfield and Peter Mayer to the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board and reappointed Bill Chapman as the board's chair. She also appointed Donald Hover to chair the Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Bloomfield is the executive director of the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy in Yakima. Mayer is the director of the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Department. Chapman is a partner with the Seattle law firm of K&L Gates. Hover is an Okanogan County commissioner.

Crista Ministries hired Brian Kirkpatrick as chief financial officer and executive vice president. Kirkpatrick has 30 years of experience and was recently with T-Mobile USA. He succeeds Bill Brown, who is retiring after 38 years. Crista provides education, international relief and development, senior living and media around the world.
Ignition Venture Management hired Frank Artale as a general partner. Artale has 26 years of experience with cloud and virtualization software. He was CEO of Consera and has worked with XenSource, Rendition Networks and Zenprise.
McKinley Irvin, a law firm focused on divorce and family law, hired Susan Shulenberger as of counsel in Seattle. Shulenberger has 28 years of experience and spent the past 13 years focused on complex family law.
Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Tom Cowan to the Washington State Transportation Commission. Cowan has 27 years of public policy experience, and is a public policy consultant and marine resources project manager.
ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions, a Seattle-based nonprofit offering personal finance counseling, promoted Bruce McClary to national media relations director. McClary has been with ClearPoint since 1998.






Holliday Fenoglio Fowler secured a $10.25 million refinancing for The Blume Co. for Eastlake Center I and II in Seattle. HFF placed the 10-year, fixed-rate loan with Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital LP. Other terms weren't disclosed. Loan proceeds are refinancing a maturing CMBS loan. The buildings total nearly 84,400 square feet. Nearly 13,400 square feet are available for lease, according to officespace.com.
