MulvannyG2 Architecture

Fleener

MulvannyG2 Architecture senior principal Brian Fleener was promoted to vice president of retail development. He will lead design strategy in that market sector, and offer clients a global perspective on their development plans. His promotion is part of a realignment of the firm's leadership. Bellevue-based MulvannyG2 designs retail, mixed-use destinations, and corporate offices and interiors.

Allender

Golder Associates hired Logan Allender as a geotechnical engineer, Shannon Daugherty as a geochemist, Emily Drew as a technical editor and Petros Karimbakas as a desktop support analyst, all in its Redmond office. Garrett Lehman joined the Portland office as a senior project GIS specialist. Allender earned a bachelor's in civil engineering and a master's in geotechnical engineering from Oregon State University. Daugherty will provide support on geochemical aspects of mining, water resources and environmental projects. She completed her master's in earth and environmental sciences specializing in hydrogeochemistry at the University of Waterloo. Drew is a technical editor and holds a biology degree from Western Washington University. Lehman provides GIS for environmental permitting and planning. He has a master's in environmental science and management from the University of California Santa Barbara. Golder is a global ground engineering and environmental consulting firm.

ALSC Architects

ALSC Architects hired David Elms as a project architect and Queena Dao as an administrative assistant in its Spokane office. Elms has 30 years of experience that includes health care and educational projects. He is working on the Grant Elementary School for Eastmont School District. Dao attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich. ALSC provides planning and design services with offices in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Westwood Professional Services

Westwood Professional Services, a national land and energy development consulting firm, has undergone leadership changes in its transmission market group. Senior project manager Dan Beckmann was promoted to director of transmission development, a role previously held by Rick Haglund, who was named director of energy project services. Beckmann will lead business development and set operational goals for Westwood's transmission business. Haglund will collaborate with Westwood's energy market leaders to pursue new clients and projects. He will support business development for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission, and oil, gas, and pipeline markets. Westwood has an office in Portland.

Pacific Continental Bank

Pacific Continental Bank hired Thomas Kuljam as vice president, commercial banking officer. Kuljam will be working from the business banking center in Tacoma.

Janicki Industries

Janicki Industries hired Justin Von Hagel as director of aerospace parts programs, a new position. He was previously director of engineering at Triumph Composite Systems in Spokane. Janicki is a technical engineering company that creates production parts, prototypes and composite tools for aerospace, space and defense, marine and other sectors.

Oregon Opportunity Network

John Miller joined the Oregon Opportunity Network as executive director. The network is a statewide association of affordable housing and community development organizations. Miller was recently executive director of Host Development. Former Oregon ON Executive Director Cathey Briggs retired from the position to dedicate more time to family and traveling.

Wolfe

Puyallup’s Absher Construction Co. promoted Blaine Wolfe from project manager to division director of Housing Services. Wolfe is a graduate of Central Washington University’s construction management program. He has worked at Absher since 1995, focusing on project development in recent years. He is a LEED Green Associate and a certified Associate Value Specialist by the Society of American Value Engineers.

Bracewell & Giuliani

Law firm Bracewell & Giuliani hired Robert Crowley as an associate. Crowley will work directly with partner Curt Roy Hineline, who joined Bracewell in April to lead the Seattle litigation practice. Both worked at Dorsey & Whitney. Crowley focuses on securities and complex commercial litigation, as well as litigation involving broker/dealers.

State Transportation Commission

Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Anne Haley to the Washington State Transportation Commission, effective immediately. Haley chairs the board of directors for Brown & Haley in Tacoma and spent 20 years as library director in Walla Walla. The commission has seven governor-appointed members, and provides a public forum for development and assessment of transportation policy statewide.

Nintendo of America

Redmond-based Nintendo of America hired Scott Moffitt as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Moffitt will work from Nintendo's office in Redwood City, Calif. He worked at Henkel Consumer Goods, where he oversaw North American operations for brands such as Dial, Right Guard and Pure & Natural.
