Golder Associates promoted Phil Osborne and Cheryl Ross to associate. Osborne holds a Ph.D., and is a coastal geomorphologist leading Golder's coastal service group. He specializes in coastal, marine and estuarine environments, and the interactions of coastal processes with engineered structures. Ross has been with the firm since 1999, and is a senior hydrogeochemist. She provides support on mining and water resources projects and leads the water resources and geochemistry group.
Freiheit & Ho Architects hired Dan Rasmusson as a senior project architect and Theresa Van Ert as marketing coordinator. Rasmusson has 23 years in the profession. He has led design and construction phases, including business development, feasibility studies, concept design, contract documentation, construction administration and quality control. His experience includes mixed-use, retail, educational, hospitality and office design. Van Ert has 14-plus years in graphic design and marketing/communications, mostly in architecture and engineering. She worked for the International Council of Graphic Design Associations in Brussels. Freiheit & Ho provides architecture, planning and interior design.
Brown and Caldwell hired James Bush as a hydrogeologist and Matt Kennelly as a principal engineer in the Olympia office. Eric Campbell transferred from the Phoenix office to Seattle as a supervising engineer with the electrical and process automation group. Bush holds a bachelor's degree in geological sciences from the University of Idaho. Kennelly has 10-plus years of industry experience. He worked in Florida leading design, construction and startup for water and wastewater facilities. Campbell has 20-plus years of experience in power plant operation, electrical installation, design and electrical engineering analysis for residential, institutional, commercial and municipal clients. Brown and Caldwell is an environmental engineering firm.




Seattle-based PSF Mechanical added Gualberto “Pops” Martinez as network engineer, John Munson as HVAC detailer, Kevin Rich as senior CAD technician and Michal Malasiewicz as project engineer. Martinez holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/management information systems from the University of Washington. He is a Microsoft Certified IT Professional with more than 22 years of experience in network consulting and management. Munson has more than four years of detailing experience. Rich holds an associate's degree in CADD from ITT Technical Institute, and has seven years of experience as a drafter/detailer for HVAC and electrical systems. Malasiewicz holds a bachelor's degree from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland, and has more than four years of industry experience. PSF is a mechanical engineering, construction and consulting firm.

Dace Campbell, integrated delivery specialist at BNBuilders, was recognized by Building Design + Construction magazine as one of the nation's top 40 under 40 in building construction and design. Dace manages integrated project delivery and building information modeling for all BNBuilders offices. He has more than 20 years of experience in design, construction and 3-D modeling.
Auburn's Electrical Construction Co. hired Roy Hella as director of Seattle construction. Hella is an electrician by trade, and has 29 years of industry and management experience. The Seattle office opened in 1998 and includes the electrical construction, low-voltage and energy groups.
Ron Nielsen has been named director of the Small Business Development Center at South Puget Sound Community College. Nielsen has 17 years experience as an owner of three businesses and was director of the SBDC center at Gila Community College in Payson, Ariz.
Baldwin Resource Group, a Seattle-based brokerage and business advisory firm, merged with The Partners Group of Oregon, a firm specializing in employee benefits and individual wealth management. The partnership creates one of the largest independent financial services, employee benefits and insurance brokerage firms in the Northwest.
PRR, a Seattle-based communications agency, said it worked with the U.S. EPA to design the new fuel economy labels for cars. PRR said this is the biggest overhaul of the labels in 30 years. The labels will be on all new cars and trucks by 2013. They estimate annual fuel costs and give information on a vehicle's environmental impact.
