Seattle-based Quantum Consulting Engineers hired Todd Schoentrup as a project engineer. Shoentrup is working on commercial and residential projects. Quantum provides structural, seismic and value engineering, in addition to shop drawings.

Miroslav Bosilkov joined Bellevue-based Roth Hill as a civil 3D/survey/GIS technician. He has worked at ABKJ and been a freelance CAD designer for a restoration and construction company in Kirkland. He also has experience maintaining CAD databases, developing and enforcing CAD standards and assisting in permitting. Roth Hill provides civil engineering, land surveying, permitting compliance, planning, public relations and community involvement, and construction administration.
Greg Thompson and Bryan Sanders have rejoined Sclater Partners Architects. Thompson is a project architect with 20 years of experience. Sanders is an architect with 20 years of construction document production experience. Seattle-based Sclater provides architectural design and planning.
Hewitt hired staff architects Jay Johnson, Gilbert Oh, David Swenson, Donna Williamson and Mary Wyllie. Johnson joins the Northgate Light Rail Station team. Oh received his master of architecture from The Catholic University of America and will support residential projects. Swenson will be part of the residential studio, working on 120 Harvard. Williamson will work on the Tukwila Commuter Rail Station. She was at CollinsWoerman in Seattle and has a background in commercial design. Wyllie worked at Johnson Braund in Seattle, and has a background in Revit BIM and experience in retail and hospitality projects. She will work on the Northgate Light Rail Station. Hewitt is a Seattle-based architecture, landscape architecture and urban design firm.

Seattle law firm Garvey Schubert Barer added William Keeler Jr. as an owner of the Portland office. Keeler has spent 35 years practicing estate and trust law. Garvey Schubert Barer is a business law firm with emphasis on the Pacific Northwest.
Executive Dow Constantine named Alan Painter manager of the Community Service Areas program for unincorporated King County. He was director of the Department of Human Services for Seattle. Community Service Areas serve 280,000 residents who live outside city boundaries.
Florida-based Crowley Maritime promoted Julia Shemesh to vice president and deputy general counsel for the Seattle office. Crowley Maritime provides transportation and logistics services for domestic and international markets.

Seattle law firm Stoel Rives hired attorney Wendy Goffe to the estate planning practice. Goffe was shareholder at Graham & Dunn and attorney at Bogle & Gates. Stoel Rives is a business law firm.
The State Department of Revenue's deputy director Vikki Smith won a leadership award from the Washington D.C.-based Federation of Tax Administrators. Smith started at the Department of Revenue in 1970 as a clerk. The award recognizes people who improve and contribute to their agencies.
The Pierce County Department of Emergency Management has appointed fire inspector Warner Webb to fire marshal for the Pierce County Fire Prevention Bureau. Webb was fire marshal for Whatcom County for 15 years.
The deputy superintendent of Seattle Public Schools Noel Treat said he is leaving the post to be deputy city manager of Mercer Island. Treat said his last day with the district will be May 21.



Lydig Construction hired three project managers: Dan Jawort, Eric Oehling and Scott Bastiani. Jawort has 24 years of project management, development and estimating experience on high-profile projects such as The Olivian apartment building in Seattle and the Fairview Research Center. Oehling has 23 years of industry experience, working on projects for big corporations such as Microsoft, Boeing and Home Depot. Bastiani, a senior project manager, has built a board range of projects over his 23-year career. His clients include Microsoft, the Port of Seattle and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Lydig has offices in Spokane, Bellevue and the Tri-Cities.
Tacoma-based Gray Lumber Co. hired Stuart Bettesworth and Mike Newcomer in sales. Bettesworth is selling to commercial and industrial accounts. He has almost 30 years of experience in wholesale building products sales management, and is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound. Newcomer calls on residential contractors. He has 20 years of experience in the construction field and sales, following six years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Gray is a building products dealer for the Pacific Northwest and Pacific Rim.
Trash Transit of Kent hired Mike Gladfelder as vice president of sales and marketing. Gladfelder previously worked for 20 years at For Rent Media Solutions. Trash Transit offers door-to-door disposal collection for multifamily developments.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington gave 2012 MCAWW safety awards to Shinn Mechanical (150,000 hours and less), Auburn Mechanical (150,001-299,999 hours) and JH Kelly (300,000-plus hours). The three contractors were deemed “exemplary” by judges Dale Cavanaugh of OSHA and Rick Gleason of the University of Washington. MCA of Western Washington's members consist of union-signatory plumbing, piping and HVAC contractors.
