Soundview Consultants hired Kuuipo Ceridon as office manager, Railin Peterson as an environmental scientist and Jason Robinson as a network specialist. Ceridon has more than more than six years of office management experience. Peterson has a background in fresh water and marine ecology. She has experience in fisheries management, assessing marine, shoreline, stream, and wetland systems. Robinson will manage infrastructure at the firm and assist Peterson in expanding Soundview's GIS data management capabilities. The firm provides environmental, natural resource, and land use consulting, specializing in aquatic assessments, permitting and regulatory compliance.

Lafarge North America

The Portland Cement Association recognized Lafarge North America's Seattle cement plant with a Chairman's Safety Performance Award. PCA honored plants in three categories, designated by the number of hours employees collectively worked in 2011, for achieving superior safety records. The Seattle plant was in the “less than 179,000 employee hours” division.
